Kerala: One killed in explosion at Palakkad steel factory; two seriously injured
The preliminary enquiries revealed that the Palakkad explosion occurred due to a blast in the furnace of the factory. On hearing the loud explosion, the local residents first began rescue operations. Over 100 employees were working at the time of the explosion and one person named Aravindan was burnt alive, sources said.
