    HOLY CRAP I didn't know you can load the newer version of Swiss straight from the card on SD2SP2! Even with an older version of Swiss! Was worried about having to spend a ton of money on mini DVD-R's just to have the latest version of swiss. Thank you thank you thank you!

    Yeah I’ve done a few xeno chip installs, they are cheap and people will pay a good amount for someone to install it!

    On the dol101 version of the cube can you install a xeno chip and solder the sdcard adapter strait to the board or are the internals too diff.

    I been modding a lot of cubes lately. Seem to be popular again. I don't advertise chip install, yet tons of requests. Probably cause I don't charge a ton.

    So all I have to do is install the Xeno chip and get a Swiss disc and I'm set to load from a memory card SD? Or is there something more.

      Yes that’s right. I go through installing it in this video - th-cam.com/video/bu1GozndFbE/w-d-xo.html

    I considered doing the Xeno mod, but seems like burning a disk to boot Swiss, and having to adjust that potentiometer on the optical drive to make the burned disk work, may make the original games not work. So decided that the GC Loader is worth the extra cost and just put away the optical drive. Ordered parts. Will save up and get the GC Dual HDMI mod later. Might just sell my Gameboy Player disk by itself, that'll pay for the GC Dual.

      You could have gotten the NickDisk swiss disk its factory pressed (like an official GC disk) not burned like the others for sale.

    • @delscoville
      @delscoville 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@magic1wizard Yeah, but I also like the idea of making the GC fully solid state, not relying on moving parts.

    Will one of these methods listed in the video make it so that I can run a ROM of Pokemon Colosseum/ XD on the Gamecube, while then having a GBA with a gen 3 Pokemon game hooked up to the controller port? My end goal is to transfer pokemon between my legitimate cartridge copy of Pokemon GBA and the ROM version of Pokemon Colosseum/ XD

      Sorry I somehow missed this comment. 3:06 shows you can use an SD to memory card adaptor

    Do you still need a boot disc if you have both a Xeno chip, SD2SP2 and GC2SD Memory Card?

    • @Kman_aus
      @Kman_aus  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah you do still need a boot disc. If you have a GCLoader drive replacement you do not. Here’s the options - gc-forever.com/wiki/index.php?title=Booting_homebrew

    Do all your games save on the xeno mod or do you have to keep starting over on each game when you load it up again?

    • @Kman_aus
      @Kman_aus  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi. You do still need a memory card to save your game progress. If you’re booting off an SD card in a front memory card slot, you’ll still need something in the other memory card slot for your game saves

    Can I remove the disk drive from the GC forever when I install the xeno chip ??

    • @Sackface225
      @Sackface225 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No. The Xeno chip allows you to read burned Disks. Swiss is on the disk and opens the Games in your SD Card

      So if I install the XenoGC chip, I don't have to adjust the laser to run burned disks?
      I have a gamecube, and everything I need including the XenoGC but I'm nervous about that part and some people say you have to, but others don't mention it. I believe I have a dol 001 ntsc

    • @potse
      @potse 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@Blu3Mane I haven't done any modding. I don't even own a GameCube yet. But from the videos I've seen, you do still have to adjust the laser's potentiometer to run burned discs. The XenoGC will allow you to play games from any region without adjustment-- but the laser needs to be adjusted to run burned discs (because the burned discs are darker than official discs). Hope this helps.

    So do I absolutely need a swiss disc? Can I boot straight from the SD2SP2 without using a disc?

    • @Kman_aus
      @Kman_aus  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Unfortunately you can’t boot off the SD2SP2 without Swiss on a disc. With the SD card drive replacement I mentioned, you can boot directly off SD
