  • More info about travel to Bosnia-Herzegovina: www.ricksteves... Trebinje, nestled along a river in a fertile valley just over the border from Dubrovnik, is a showcase town of the semi-autonomous Serb state called Republika Srpska. It's a pleasant and relatively affluent town with a leafy main square that hosts a fine Saturday market. Overlooking the town from its hilltop perch is the striking Nova Gračanica church, with its gorgeously vibrant world of Orthodox icons. #ricksteveseurope #bosniaherzegovina #trebinje

Nice dude! This is the part one Europe he should be showing! He's already covered most of western Europe, and most people are familiar with it, but eastern Europe is rarely shown and virtually unknown to tourists. I hope the new seasons focus more on eastern Europe. It makes for a more interesting show. People will be more interested to see the unknown areas of Europe, rather then the known. Nice work again Rick. Keep it up!

I cannot but wonder why no information is provided about how and when the church was built, and to whom it is devoted - and his significance. Then, the cathedral church in the town park is worthwhile visiting, the old city and the monastery of Tverdosh. This is to little.

Obscure corner of the world? Well, the obscurity depends on a perspective. I suppose that where he originates from could be considered as an obscure corner of the world from the European perspective. Apart from that and the hideous music in the background (only a few first minutes of the video), not so bad.

Can't believe that you have travelled trough every country in balkans and idk maybe "purposely" avoid serbia? Is it so repulsing? Are we savages in your eyes?
