- Mostar, straddling its beloved river, is the leading city of the southern part of Bosnia-Herzegovina. Its 400-year-old stone bridge was once a symbol of multi-cultural community but collapsed under artillery shells when Yugoslavia fell apart in the 1990s. Today, Mostar is rebuilding, and ethnic divisions are gradually fading. And the new Old Bridge, rebuilt using the original materials, is a promising sign of reconciliation. This is nicely prepared! Forgive me if you did it but I am surprised that you didn't say anything about beautiful places/cities, mountains, rivers, lakes ...food and customes...amazing dances in/from Bosnian and Herzegovina. Bosnia (and Dubrovnik) existed as a country by themselves before any other Republics in x-Yugoslavia. People are tired to listen ONLY about war. It's not interesting to listen and watch about the war in Bosnia anymore. Yes, we cannot forget but let's move on !!! I appreciate and I am sure many of my people will appreciate if you visit and prepare more educational spots about Bosnian and Herzegovina Thanks!

He is extremely wrong about the reconciliation. I traveled 3 weeks to Mostar and it was(unfortunately) evident that the city was ethnically divided. There many young Croats and Bosniaks who have never been on the other side.

Croats destroyed the Bridge! Now they make their stories after the war like some of the Serbs. They took out the Muslim people's pride. Now they want the city. The Bridge was built by Suleiman The Magnificent as a sign of harmony of religions.

The Dayton peace accords signed in 1995 didn’t end the Bosnian war. The Bosnian war continues today and is fought in political means. Some people in Bosnia are some of the most nicest people that you’ll ever meet. Bosnia does have great natural beauty. However Bosnia remains a basket case of a country with a bleak future. The people of Bosnia (Croatians, Bosnians and Serbs) continue to leave the country in droves each year.

It was double agresion, from east (Serbia) and west (Croatia),
the goal was to enlarge Mostar and mostars people who want to live in free Bosna & Hercegovina state.

bosniaks were sandwiched within theire own country. moreover bosnia's only neighbors were croatia and serbia. moreover they didn't have foreign supplies because they were surrounded by their enemies, nor did they have an organized standing army.
of course they killed people, they were fighting for their own lives!
They weren't enemies before surrendering to Turks

@TheCoffeequeen77 Are you serious? Do you realize that the city hasn't had a city government in over 10 months because Bosniaks refuse to give up power to the Croat majority of Mostar. Mostar is one of the most divided cities in Europe and ethnic tension is at an all time high with ethnic Croats demanding a 3rd mini-republic for themselves in bosnia with it's capital in Mostar.
To be honest, considering how fundamental many Bosniaks (muslims) have become, I don't blame the Croats...
''Croat majority'', where exactly is the Croat majority? Mostar is a completely divided city, on one side Croats live, on the other side Bosniaks live. What kind of majority are you talking about when there are basically NO CROATS in the Bosniak part of town. Following that logic, should the entire Bosnia and Herzegovina be given to Bosniaks to control it since they have a majority on the country overall? And let me remind you that Bosniaks have defended their part of Mostar and WON that war, the Croats never managed to enter Bosniak territories. How can you in your right mind think that someone would want to give up on their home which they have been dying for for 4 years? Are you insane? Should Bosniaks get the control of the entire Bosnia and Herzegovina, following this logic of yours? Ujke imaju do bulevara i ni centimetra dalje, a pokusate li sta dolazi polumilionsko Sarajevo dole u roku od 60 minuta pa cete izgubiti i te 3 mahale koje drzite zapadno od bulevara.
Why do Croat national minority in Bosnia and FBiH refuse to give up power to the Bosniaks? They are 10-15% in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
