Seeing it being packed up helped me realize how well designed this bag is - in terms of how much it can fit (even the bigger items) + the organization seems perfect. Seems like Bellroy really did nail this (again) 👏 on the other side, the look is not really my cup of tea, and I’m concerned, that two buckles is not a great choice if you need to open and close the bag again and again (like when travelling in a city and taking out your phone often to take a picture, or taking out a bottle to take a sip). Could you maybe share your experience with the buckles? Do you ever feel like the opening/closing of the bag takes “too much” time? Also, is to possible to open only one buckle and pull out items out of the “middle” pocket? Thanks for the insights! Looking forward to your review of the bag!
Hi! Ok so having been using this bag for a couple of weeks I’ve found that yes I can just open one buckle to get things in and out. So long as I make sure the high traffic items (phone and sunglasses) are in that area.
I actually bought this a little while ago for very similar reasons. Have taken it on my first trip now, and it worked out perfectly. Fits everything I need for my travel EDC. It stays flat when emptier and expands with more stuff. Quite adaptable. I have the sand colour, which stains more easily, but I'm confident I can clean it easily as well. The lighter colours might get worse, though. Anyway, really enjoying this bag. Price is a bit steep, mind you. 🫣

There are a couple of Bellroy sling bags with zippers. I know the buckle might annoy some but I have found that it works quite well.
