    The Immigration Dept do have periods where they are stricter on the Student Visa as in the past some Educational Schools privately owned were passing students thru courses when they failed courses. Some students struggle with the New Zealand style of teaching. Also some private schools had a history of poor record keeping and students dropped out to work which was the main reason for coming to NZ. Many that come from countries that don't widely speak English and do not cope with the self management of study and assignments. Another big factor is once a Student has graduated the entry level jobs may not pay a salary that is required to stay in NZ and gain permanent residency or they flip flop, study to work to study changing direction of courses. There were many problems in the late 1990s and early 2000s.

    Will your channel be tackling the immigration changes proposed by the current right wing government of NZ? Also will it be highlighting some of the ways immigrants can be exploited especially when it comes to coupling immigration to a single employer?

    • @kentstanley1849
      @kentstanley1849 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Whe you say "right wing" ... do you mean sensible adults capable of objective thinking and devoid of ideological dogma? Because that's what "right wing" seems to mean now. Especially by people that have gone lefty loopy 😂

      @@kentstanley1849 Kent, I didn't mean it as a slur. The 3 parties that make up the current government identify their politics as rightwing. I suggest you educate yourself on the political spectrum before you make more comments that show your lack of understanding on the topic.

      The Australian government is refusing student visa applications at higher levels in partly due to record immigration levels, which are adding to social problems such as lack of available new housing being built, with record rental costs and house prices in the $millions, way out of reach of those not already owners in the property markets.

    • @kentstanley1849
      @kentstanley1849 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Oh ....that's good because "right wing" has become a slur by the loons . I'm well aware that the current coalition government are centre right.
      All the best to you my friend
