AlterBridge’s lyric content is meaningful as well as being direct as you call it. They don’t really do the shallow ‘I love you …ya ya ya’ lyrical content…

Great once again! Isolation is interesting- the juxtaposition of being the focus of attention by huge audiences, yet feeling disconnected at the same time during life on the road in a band - away from home and loved ones.
Great lead main guitar solo my Myles Kennedy, with numerous mini solos by Mark Tremonti! Kick ass banger💪

Fil, if you remember, you reacted to their song Slip to the Void. This song follows that one on the album and continues the theme of being in a dark place alone and having to deal with the fallout of that. The song Fallout also touches on this and fits the theme of the album.

This is one of my favorite AB Songs (there are so many that fit that description), but this is one that always come to mind when asked what my favorite AB songs are. Others in that category inclue Cry of Achilles, Fortress, This is War, Sin after Sin, and on and on.
