Love the high quality videos you always post!
Compact yet so spacious which I love 👌🏼 great video as always!!
I've had mine for 3 months now. It's so much fun to drive and it's really comfortable too.
Awesome review! Did you tint the windshield as well? And what % tint did you use. Looks amazing
I’m with you on the interior. It can definitely be improved. But overall great suv! ❤
Intro music is fire
Loved the review!!
Another solid video, Faiz!
Great review! 🎉
Thanks for the thorough review. Would you mind sharing your height? I think it would help me gauge the rear seat room a little better. I recognized the parking deck and building early in the video, as I worked there for a few months in 2006. Small world!
Thank you! Small world indeed! I am 5’7”
Fantastic video FAIZ ALY 🎉
Thanks for the review!!
My pleasure!
Have you thought about getting the windshield ceramic coated. Look into it it helps with visual and heat
How is the road noise in the model y performance? In my current car I have to turn my podcasts up so loud to overcome the rough interstate roads.
Unfortunately the noise is definitely quite prominent
I’m going to get a y or an x. My question is the x really worth the extra money in your opinion?
great vid bro
Glad you enjoyed! Be sure to subscribe 🙌🏼
The long range is now similar in price to the performance model. I do love the look of the performance model. Great and honest review 👍👍
Thank you so much! I feel like the performance is definitely the one to get
Love the Model Y! ❤
Excellent video sir
Thank you! Be sure to subscribe 🙌🏼
Amazing review what percentage tint do you have on the model Y?
Thank you! Be sure to subscribe 🙌🏼 I got a 20% tint
@@FaizAly what about the front windshield?
Windshield 55%
Tesla is a USA success story despite the US not realizing it 😮
I agree! A major US success story
Test drove the LR vs the P of the 2023 Y. No contest; forget the quicker accel… the P just felt way better. Steering feel, brake feel, chassis composure in an undulating sweeper …
what about ride quality? my 2022 performance rides insanely rough
the 23’s got the new suspension
I have the 3 Performance on Zero G wheels and Mountain Pass Performance coilovers. I ordered a Long Range Model Y last week. Yesterday I went in and changed the order to a Model Y Performance. I thought it might be strange owning two similar vehicles, but they both drive very differently. The 3 is more planted, lighter and takes less effort in the turns. The Y ride height is higher and is more top heavy. The Y has a lot more storage space, heated steering wheel, hepa filtration system, matrix headlights, more headroom and is easier to get in and out of.
I just completed a test drive. The Performance model rides better than our 2021 LR. Tesla must have addressed the suspension complaints.
The model Y has such a presence on the freeway , makes the German autos look like dumpsters from the 90s 😮
Its not a luxury vehicle. Its mid tier at best. Not sure why you think it should be loaded with the same interior as a Mercedes.
It’s not super luxury no, but it’s the same price point as a macan or Mercedes glc!
@@kindsir1256 Model Y not even close to Macan price.
@@TOMVUTHEPIMP Are you joking? Macan S is £60k new. Model Y performance is £60k….
@@kindsir1256 Not in the US. Model Y Performance is $56K (£43,900). Macan start at £59,000. I bought my wife a basic Macan S and it was £70,500
@@TOMVUTHEPIMP oh fair enough. You’re obviously paying an import / logistics premium on the Porsche and we are on the Tesla. I paid £67k for my brand new high spec Macan S a few years back (sold it now though and have the petrol SQ7 Vorsprung). I test drove the new model y performance at the weekend and the build quality has improved drastically. Dare I say I preferred the driving experience to the Macan and when I got back in my SQ7 it certainly didn’t feel like a big step back up in luxury!
I mean model Y is not Tesla's luxury flagship.....so don't confuse yourself or others. If u want luxury seats, creature comforts, opt for Model X ..there's a reason why Model retailed at $140k on release.
You complained about privacy in the cabin of the car. Really? We live in an age where everyone is posting online forgetting about privacy! However, most states don't allow window tinting of the front side windows and windshield, so legally that's not something to complain about. And just because a tint shop will tint those windows doesn't mean it's legal to do so. I do agree with you that the headliner should be alcantara, like it used to be on their earlier Model S, because the headliner is too light and should be darker, which wouldn't get dirty as easily.
I just went from a 2018 Long Range Model 3 to a new 2023 Model Y Performance. The first thing I did was replace the heavy 21" UberTurbine rubber band side wall range sucking wheels, that damage easily by potholes and curbs, with 18" lighter beefier side walled wheels and couldn't be happier. I should get at least 330 miles of range now and probably a quicker 0-60 time. This car suits me way better than my Model 3 did. I don't have to bend down so low to get into it, have more cargo area and like the hatchback to fit larger items it the back. Oh and I really like the auto trunk, just wish it had an auto frunk too. I am though looking forward to see what the redesigned Model Y will be down the road
Not understanding why you bought the performance, only to change out the tires to 18". Sounds like you needed a model Y Long Range if you were also worried about range. 😏
@@honestinspiration Pretty sure I explained why I bought the Performance version and then put 18" wheels on it. I want range and the faster acceleration. I can't stand the bigger 21" low profile wheels, they are heavy and are easily damaged.
@Resist4 Thank you for the edited response. Now I know why
@@Resist4 Smaller wheels rotate faster. The faster mass rotates, the heavier it is. Youre not not gaining anything with smaller wheels, you're losing.
@@TOMVUTHEPIMP That is completely not true!
It’s a people’s car ? Not a wannnnnnabe car ? 🤔
My BMW I3 REX is so much better.....
how u get 270 miles? i'm having difficulty trying to get 200 miles on my 23 MYP and i mostly baby it even on chill mode @faiz aly
What %age do you charge it on?
@FaizAly 30-80%usually but i have brought kt down to 24% once
