the musicianship of DEVO is criminally underrated. tribute to Alan Meyers, and to the drummers who followed, DEVO is an incredibly complex band to keep time to, with all the abrupt transitions along with everything else. definitely Rock and Roll Hall of Fame material when you consider not only the unique approach to music, but how they were the pioneers of the video music revolution. We Are Devo!
I'm so glad you captured the entire concert. I waited 41 years to see them in concert again, and now I can watch it over and over again (and occasionally see my phone, hand and hat, too.) You rock!

1 of the reasons I have a few dozen recordings of "Gut Feeling" live is just to experience Mark living his best life during the intro. So lucky to see them multiple times.
My first DEVO show was 1980 in Gainesville FL. Was a free concert. The disco bisquits were also free lol. Saw the Spuds several times later as well. Still a fan.
That was great. I remember them back when I was a dishwasher at a burger joint back in the 70’s as a 15 yr old kid. Still searching them out in 2024. 👍🏼 Love you guys
I unfortunately never got to see Devo in concert, because I never had anyone that would go with me when I was younger! Now I can enjoy watching and listening to them on TH-cam!
That was my first time seeing them. There’s been a lot of great bands that I saw by myself. That way I could give 100% of my attention to the music. When they said it was their last tour, I told myself that I needed to capture the whole thing. I’m glad I did.
Isn't so cool that these guys (with Bob 2 and Alan) have made so much great music (and can still perform!). So sad that typical people only know about "Whip It". They're missing the much bigger body of their great work. Usually, bands make a few great tunes and a bunch of duds. You get an album, and like one or two tracks. I can't think of one Devo track that I don't enjoy across their entire discography. That is special.
This was the first one I shot with my new phone. It was filmed from the balcony. I’ve played it a couple times already. I kept thinking that I may never see them again, so my thinking was going from catching a couple songs to just get the whole thing. I’m glad I did it.
Devo's still rocking. However Bob 2 is conspicuous by his absence following his death a decade ago . The band doesn't sound as tight and cohesive or intense without him. Still glad to see Devolution rolling on.
GREAT JOB Skip! I didn't even have a ticket until a couple hours before the show & I hung with the friend who connected me with a ticket. She had hip surgery a couple months earlier & didn't think she could sit in the balcony. The super ironic thing is that she scored a last same day ticket for night two & I believe she day a few seats away from you DFC front row balcony. LOL Super PSYCHED you did it up right in 4k!!! Kudos.
