Thank you for posting your observations with this project. Things I would never have considered, (like the deformations you speak off, and the shear weight you would be carrying...) is invaluable knowledge to the observer, whom may try and take on something like this, and I am very grateful for your objectivity, and sharing. Nonetheless, your project is EXCELLENT.
Dude as a guitar builder myself and a retired metal worker i take my Hat off to you , its the Dog's Bollocks and sounds totally Awesome well done 😁😁🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Totally unbelievable! I had a smile on my face through your entire video. I sort of know how much work your putting into this job, and your dedication is well beyond what I could muster up even on speed. Just amazing to watch. Your right, the sound isn't far off from a wood guitar, and THAT truly was unexpected as your said. I can hear somewhat of a metallic resonance, but really not what I expected. Watched your nail and acrylic guitars, I am humbled by your shear creativity and craftmanship.
Very good work.... I will make one like Stevie Ray Vaughan's guitar... I am a welder and work with metals for a while now and I am thinking of making 3 guitars. A Spanish flamenco guitar, an American acoustic guitar and an electric guitar... I will start...👍🏻👍🏻🎸🎸🙏🏻🙏🏻🤣🤣
Kind of late on the comments. I had seen the Kraken guitar but somehow missed this build. Killer tone! It does not sound like an all metal guitar. Just goes to show that you don't always need tonewoods to have a great sound. The only drawback would probably be the weight!
The best way to handle heat warping is to weld little bit by little bit, allowing it to cool to a certain temp to go back to welding. This method is used on certain job sites to keep the integrity of the metals you're working with
just what I was thinking of doing, and much respect for your talents and the overall construction.....but now, even though I want the challenge, I think I will try to find someone who manufactures a tele metal body and forego the awesome project....thx again for the great project and sharing your work and results....
I'm sure I'll piss off all the tonewood snobs out there, but I don't give a shit. This just goes to show that no matter what material is used to build a guitar, the electronics that are used are really what determines the sound of the instrument.
Please Build an explorer Guitar with a Floyd Rose System. I am looking forward to building one, but don't have the confidence. Thank you very much, cheers.
What an interesting project! I got a feeling kerry King and Zakk Wylde would have no issues using this heavy guitar. Chains and spiked leather gaunlets that weighs a ton? They got it ;P
so cool to see an allround builder, wondering if you got the tools a promotion on theire products...lol maybe you should get sponsored. money wise... great job again.. :-)
Where do I send my money? Is there enough access to the body to insert a bladder for helium? Or even the neck? Maybe fill it with metal shavings, or perhaps blood. I'm curious to hear the tonal possibilities with such a beast! Seriously though, I do need to know where to send my money.
Takes a truss rod OUT of the equation. Gotta take it to an auto-body shop to get a setup done. If you hear thunder, drop it fast. That's what I call a FLAMED top. If you want to see the world burn, you can put wooden control knobs & pickup brackets on it. That's all the dumb comments I've got for now. 18lbs though, good gawd. Maybe a lap diffuser when sitting, like a widened platform it could hook into so it spreads out the weight over your legs rather than jamming into your thigh. Awesome build, man!
That freakin kicks ass !! No need for a truss rod in the neck always nice and straight!! Haha Just don't play in a storm.................. unless you want to "⚡Ride The Lightning⚡" 🤘 You have to use steel picks now also. Sounds great , No feedback issues.... Surprisingly! Great Job!!
wow, now THAT takes much vision, desire, and a tons of will and purpose. I'm in the beginning stages of making a guitar made of steel which is why I stumbled upon your video. I am most curious; how much did this weigh in the end?
@@craftlingsworkshop thanks!! Did you have to do anything different with the pickup to keep it from shocking you while playing? Or are the pickups designed to be mounted to steel body guitars?
I have total guitar envy, I've wanted a metal guitar for so long. I have so many questions, it's heavy but so is a full-fat wooden guitar, but yes 9kg is quite a bit. Are you applying any finish? I take it you have a lot of shielding and earthing? I especially love the neck. Just an overall fantastic build.
Hi Graham! Thanks for your comment!😊 There is no finish yet. If necessary, I will oil it a little. I don't have any shielding problems because the whole guitar is well grounded. Greetings!👋
You're crazy, this world needs more crazy people like you
Not playing Iron Man on this guitar is criminal.
Or playing the metal by Tenacious D
Or playing Iron Maiden!
Or Metallica
Made of Metal from Halford
Iron Butterfly.
I totally respect you for building the best grounded electric guitar in the whole universe

Hi Barry!
Thanks for this comment! I am very honored.😊
But the nail and acrylic guitars are not mine😉
Greetings!
I absolutely loved this project! I've always enjoyed really interesting or weird guitars, and this is now my absolute favorite.
the real metal sound, very good job man is amazing, greetings from mexico
The guitar is awesome, but what I really want after watching this is a headbanging windmill.
me too!!!
Man, this is such a cool guitar. I respect you on your metal work.
incredible work my Bro I congratulate you that I am already your fan, keep it up don't stop 🤘🏽🤘🏽 hugs from Lima-Peru

real TRUE metal guitar for TRUE metalhead )))))) man - you are the best!!! you make my day!
So.. what kind of music do you play?
Heavy Metal. All the time. Even when I'm playing R & B.
SCNR.

Great video and great guitar!
You are multi-talented person I've ever known. You are a guitarist, welder, painter, etc. Very Cool man! ❤ Keep It Up 🙂
Thanks a lot, Ryan!
@@craftlingsworkshop Just put some video of your craftmanship ❤
Absolutely incredible!!!!
It was good to see a new video was up.... this video was so metal 🤘🏾
This is something very incredible. Absolutly perfect to play punk rock.

It would be interesting to hear how this guitar sounds whithout an amp
Amazing job man
Next video: Diamond guitar
😂
@@craftlingsworkshop hey can i buy one of your guitars
I can only imaging how heavy this would be.
In the description it says that it weighs 9 kg (18 lbs)
@@geovannid5781 Let him play with his imagination.
Only if you're not worthy
I would be surprised if you ever got grounding issues with this guitar.
Great video & build. Fun to watch. :)
what brand the pick-up you use? very good sound. 😅👍👍👍🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭
Hi Ton Ton! These are Duesenberg pickups... Greetings!
Looks great nice work! However I would like to to see it polished and the welds cleaned up
Это будет первая в истории гитара, которая заржавела!)))))
Не заржавела, а пошла винтажным коркелюром
The ultimate METAL guitar
Imagine trying to smash this guitar while playing on stage and you just end up making a hole on the floor! 🎸⚡😂😂
You are the Best, i'm from Brazil and now i am your fan. Você é muito ninja cara parabéns pelo trabalho. Gostaria muito de tocar uma de suas guitarras
Amazing. A great job!!!
Thank you!!!☺️
Great job. And the sound is so-so. :)
yes but can you make it without power tools?
make a iron-kraken-guitar!
just kidding
you are great!
😅Perhaps next time😅, thanks a lot!
Really good guitar, I saw guitars made of aluminium but steel i saw first time. Awesome idea)
The first guitar Pete Townshend couldn’t smash! Great work, man.
Tell me, which tonesteel you're using?
That's some amazing skills!
I'm sure I'll piss off all the tonewood snobs out there, but I don't give a shit. This just goes to show that no matter what material is used to build a guitar, the electronics that are used are really what determines the sound of the instrument.
In going with the metal idea, how about a chain strap?
Then I break down under the weight...🤣
@@craftlingsworkshop .hmmm you build a steel guitar and THEN complain about the weight? I call b/s
THIS is the stuff legends are made of. This is beyond the realm of awesome! Could you make me a Bass like this? 😂❤

I love it, dude❤️✨
Fantastic man, like from INDONESIA 🖤
Heavy metal guitar for some heavy metal music! Sick look! love it!
Congratulations I wish I had one
Now i understand definition of "heavy metal"
Awesome build..he’s wild.,cool
This is so awesome
Someone: "Dude, you can play metal on pretty much ANY electric guitar."
Craftling: "No!" and gets to work...
Why the switch to stick at ~ 6:35 ?
Please Build an explorer Guitar with a Floyd Rose System. I am looking forward to building one, but don't have the confidence. Thank you very much, cheers.
I was kinda hoping for a one-piece cast iron guitar. Properly seasoned before stringing, of course.
What an interesting project! I got a feeling kerry King and Zakk Wylde would have no issues using this heavy guitar. Chains and spiked leather gaunlets that weighs a ton? They got it ;P
the pick ups are finna melt in the sun
i felt it deep in my soul when your tap broke. rip
This is even more metal than King Buzzo's axe
AMAZING
Sounds good. Im tempted to sample some of that grinding!
Man thats some heavy metal 🤘
It looks cool but the headstock and the bridge pocket will probably change shape over time due to the string tension.
Awesome. But what about rust protection? I think it will be rusty in a few month. Or is it some sort of stainless steel?
so cool to see an allround builder, wondering if you got the tools a promotion on theire products...lol

money wise...
great job again.. :-)
Awesome! no doubt super heavy but still amazing!

i would love to know what the curved leanth of steel
was originaly from that you used for the back
that the strings attach too 😊
Is there a way to craft one with thinner metal, and support pieces, like an acoustic, to lighten the weight? The tone is very punk rock.
I guess you can say this is the most metal guitar ever
I like that the fret markers are removabal

Then you should buy a guitar from Electrical Guitar Company.
Let it weather a bit. It would look badass

Great video. Nice axe
Interesting that you chose stick welding for the guitar body sidewall.
The MAG welding machine broke in half of the construction process😅
