At 6:05 I can see bronze reflection, but it was difficult to see if there is something in the other part. At least it looks like one is still there. I have here the 118 117-1 from Piko. It was produced in the GDR in the 80s. Still running with no maintenance after it was stored for over 30 years in not ideal conditions. I was somehow able to save a lot of the Locos and wagons from my childhood in the GDR. It is impressive and terrible at the same time, if you look how it was build. Some good/easy and reliable solutions. Also impressive solutions to switch the lights from white to red. And on the other hand bad materials and shortcuts to overcome the shortage of almost everything.
I have some great memories playing with all this stuff and now my 5 yo son is helping me getting some of the old stuff back to life. I look some times on ebay to find some broken locomotives as spare parts, but it is insane how much is paid for that stuff. Nostalgic increases the price.
Good luck with you project and greetings from Berlin.

I thogut Piko switched packaging to the purple and white, and the solid orange, mand the solid dark blue in 1985.
