I have found your videos on these old Fleischmann loco very interesting.
I have converted a 41 Steam loco with LokSound 5 DCC which works really well. I am also just converting an old E10 loco to LokSound 5 DCC and LEDs. I have two Fleischmann locos my father brought back from Europe in the 1960s.
I had the same shorting problems with the E10 bogies you mentioned. I had to insulate the bogies from the chassis, so created 4x 3D printed swivel brackets to replace the 4 metal curved swivel brackets that slide into the body. This works well. I have found though, the loco bogies don’t run around the R1 360mm radius Fleischmann Profile track. The bogies don’t have enough angular movement to make the curve, so am trying to increase the maximum angular movement of the bogies.
Keep the videos coming as they are very informative. Cheers Graham

Yes, the bigger the radius, the better

@@fleischmann_rowa_roco_ho Most longer bogie locos do not like radius 1 I was surprised when I got a Tyco Gp20 to do Radius 2. I can't get the Mehano alco century 420 to do R2, R3 is the minimum, however the Lionel Fundimension GP30 will do R2 although the cheap gears will grind.
