i have seen this you need to move the bike font ward as you press the gears so the motor will hit the right spot for it to shift drove me crazr trying to get it back to nutral my atv has 4 gears and has a up and down shift i can go in to 4th gear right from the start nutral then press up 1 time 1st gear if you went down your in 4th gear it makes it look like the atv's hurt

3rd gear is on so only backwards, to change gears u need to spin flywheel
i believe it only has forward , revers and neutral, got the same motor in a go cart in my shop right now
