Wow, looks phenomenal. And that SSD must be blazing fast. It's crazy how much mechanical drives can bottleneck a system (something a lot of people don't consider).
Great video! I'm going mITX pretty soon and I'm now considering the Jonsbo case.

wow and that ssd must be blazing fast at loosing files when archiving and filling up blazing fast too, its crazy how much mechanical drives can hold data for years or even decades and ssd be so bottleneck and lose data within first year or even less while being 10 times more expensive ( something a lot of people + reviewers don't consider).

Actually, I have the Jonsbo C2 as well and even a GTX950 ran fairly hot even with a 140mm fan below it. Plus the resulting temps won't be too good for the PSU either... Airflow is basically non existent since it relies on the PSU to exhaust. I'm now looking for other cheap ITX format cube cases that doesn't suck for airflow but doesn't look like ass either

I used a case build almost the same as that recently. What i also modded was its side panel. I drilled small holes in it an on the inside of the pabel i mounted dust filtration sheet (regular super-thin one). It was time consuming but it works great. The components inside are not so fancy gaming parts, just a regular 1050 mini from zotac, i3 6100 and 2x 4 gb ddr4 ram from kingston. Its main purpose is a tv media center + ocxasional gaming, but even under stress it never run hot after my mods. In Witcher 3, medium-high setting mix and 1080p resolution card was sitting only on 65 C and cpu cores were between 38-46 C. For such small case - im happy.

  • @LastSecBloomer
    @LastSecBloomer 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

Matt might have missed it but the side bracket for storage actually supports a 3.5" HDD too. It mounts on the other side of the bracket, opposed to the 2.5" drive and when the bracket is installed the HDD sits between bracket and front panel. It's an awkward place for it so it's easy to miss, but at least there's a 3.5" drive support. You can see how it looks in one of the pictures on a case product page: www.cooltek.de/en/jonsbo/c-series/126/c2

Those specs are so similar to my ITX HTPC I'm building in the holidays. I'm using the same ASRock AB350 Gaming-ITX AC/WiFi, AMD Ryzen 7 1700X, 16GB Corsair Vengeance 2666MHz, Zotac GTX 1070Ti Mini 8GB, Cooler Master MasterLiquid 120 AIO, Corsair Vengeance 650M PSU LiteOn slot in DVD drive, 2x 240GB SSD's , in a slimline Azza Z 103 ITX case.

Its best to have a 500 gigabyte ssd for boot up and a 4tb or more mechanical 7200rpm 256megabyte cache hard drive for storage, because ssd might be faster but you can't really recover data from it, unlike a mechanical drive shows you signs of it dying(going slower and slower), also you can recover data from a mechanical drive a lot easier.

That case is hideous. Good thing you at least modded the top for a 120 mm fan, though you could have saved yourself a lot of effort by getting a decent sff case. I myself am going to build my new computer(when the case gets here) in a Skyreach 4 Mini. 12 liters versus 5 liters. Or you could have gone with a Dan A4-SFX or an NCASE M1. All 3 cases would have fit your parts no problem. You wouldn't have needed an adapter for that psu either.

I'm interested to see what are the temps are on the rig! The GTX 1070 Ti should be at least be quite decently cool since it's fed with the intake.
Speaking of the intake, it does look a little worrying as the ground clearance is a bit low and may starve of fresh air from the bottom. But that could be easily remedied later I guess.

The Samsung 960 Pro is nice, but my PC doesn't have an M.2 slot and it won't work as a boot drive using a PCIE M.2 adapter card. The Samsung 950 Pro will work in my PC (using a PCIE M.2 adapter) as a boot drive (it has a compatibility rom) but Samsung doesn't make that SSD anymore. The compatibility rom that was in the 950 Pro isn't in the 960 Pro... gotta love tech.

Cable management doesn't really affect airflow that significantly. A rampant SATA cable or two won't tank your temperatures, or even make them budge at all. If you completely block your fans from spinning or block most of the airflow, then you'll probably notice a difference. Love the case though! Looks awesome!

I'm building something like that, but it's not the power of the gaming pc. It is Jonsbo U1 Plus with Ryzen 2400g or something like that. I love small case.

Hi mate, amazing build! One question though about the graphics card size allowance:
According to the official specs, your GPU measures 211mm and the case has a total depth of 224mm. Jonsbo recommends 220mm as the maximum GPU length.
Was is such a tight fit? I'm asking because I just got a R9 380, which is 234mm, and I wonder if it will fit as there could be some small incoherences with these official measures.
    Cheers!

Nice mini rig Matt. We both built Ryzen systems around the same time with slightly differing approaches. I did the 1600x/b350/960pro/GTX 1080 (Samsung 960 pro is recent addition) I'm liking your custom work with the case. Thanks for the video.

Rofl considering the screw for the M.2 SSD at 0:08 second mark is completely different to the screw someone is attempting to screw into the standoff post at 2:54 seconds. I have to wonder who actually built this system didn't know WTF they were doing, lets just keep turning this screw for the video footage even though it is the wrong screw haha
The custom cooling holes is a good idea though !
    Flame on !!
