    Nothing wrong with keeping reasonable prices in mind, power supplies really haven't been much of a deal on the name brand standpoint. Congrats on your dream build!

    Dude that's a beast! I'm stuck in the stone age on an old AM3 board. Lmao I got a gtx 760 and phenom II X4 820.

    Few things so far 9 minutes in. Bro…850 watts for a 3080 and a 12900k is fine. Don’t worry about that. However if you wanted more power efficiency, the 4070 is similar in performance for only 200 watts of power. But if you got the 3080 for a good deal or if you had a 3080 laying around then that makes sense too. Also, the 011 dynamic clones are cool! Let them flood the market with clones. It’s good competition. Also, $1,700 is definitely steep. Good thing you already had the 011 dynamic mini. If someone tried to copy this build, $1,700 for a system with a 3080 is…ooooof. Idk about that. A cheaper case would definitely help. Also you mentioned “I’m not sure if I should have removed the cpu first before installing the bracket” , no, you DEFINITELY did it the right way. Leave the CPU on there guys! Don’t risk dropping the CPU or the old mounting system onto the pins and risk bending them!! If the CPU is already installed and you want to change the mounting to the Thermalright metal bracket, LEAVE THE CPU IN LIKE HE DID! ITS THE RIGHT WAY!! Okay im continuing the video. Amazing job so far.
    Edit: finished it, great video man. Great job

      Yeah the 850 watt is plenty, especially with the founders edition that runs more efficient than board partners.

    On the powersupply cable, I ordered a Power Supply Extension Cable with 90 Degree Right Angled and it works like a champ. It shorten the bulky cable sticking out. They have also different colors. I got this off amazon it cost me abouyt 18.00

    In my opinion the 20 series were the most beautiful FE cards.

    Also am on 12900KF build but I'd need a bigger case. My case fits my 7900XTX Merc but not my PSU (must be an EATX one).

    Nice build Matt 🥰💪😇✊👍. Enjoy the performance boost. I currently have an RTX3080 (OG - 10GB) with a 1440p ultrawide setup and the GPU performs quite well for many titles 💪😇.

    Bro I have a 3090. I bottlenecked the hell out of it with a i7 9700k. But it costs like 500 to get a cpu and mobo fit for the 3090 : (

    • @lucasrem
      @lucasrem ปีที่แล้ว

      tahirj9129
      i7 13700 is enough, any cheap DDR 5 board, never needing more than 20 PCi express lanes, 2 DIMM slots on 5600 XMP
      CPU is 400, yeah, rest is cheap, why not spent $500 on that GPU ?
      keep unsing the old GTX 1080 in that old 9700k board ?

  • @playerx3480
    @playerx3480 ปีที่แล้ว

    Don't power the GPU with only a single cable. No matter how many splits it has all the power has to go through the same wires. Use two separate 8-pin PCI-E Power cables. Unless you like to see your PSU cables melt and catch on fire.

    Matt I have a question, I did your portable itx build last year, but I need a stronger graphics card, I have the 2060 ko ultra in the build, but I need something strong enough to handle high renders in daz studio, but I remember you saying the case is too small to match upgrades with. How should I proceed to get the improvements I need? Should I switch out the CPU too ?

    • @lucasrem
      @lucasrem ปีที่แล้ว

      WhensMahvel
      Daz studio is not any demanding, single Core CPU only, not able to use any GPU Nvidia levels.
      Keep the ITX, try Xeon build on it, it needs only old CPU power on x86 !
      Upgrade to Autodesk, then get a good system !

      @@vallesan instead of this 3080 and Rx 6800Xt or 7800xt would be far better and mostly much cheaper as for the i9 12900k it can be easily replaced with a ryzen 9 7800X3D which will provide much better gaming performance and years of upgrade path but only thing to keep in mind is the extra cost of DDR 5 memory that will cost a bit more if your using 16Gb kit
