      Optimum Tech dude I really need an optical drive bay especially if I want to use it for a home theater PC or have lan parties where the internet is complete trash. If you still need a hard drive slot just getting Optical to hard drive adapter problem solved.
      I love both cases just as equal just point out that there is adapters. obvious is obvious

      I'm rocking a 12-ish liter Node 202, as of a couple weeks ago. Fits my long GTX 970, around 20°C cooler than when I had it in my Cooler Master Elite 130. Had to purchase an SFX PSU, though, so it wasn't exactly a budget upgrade.

    3:42 the hell are you saying? SFX power supplies ARE supported in the QBX.
    You can even opt for an SFX PSU and have a 240mm radiator on the side bracket with not only one, but TWO fans.

    • @remy7663

    I've been using this case for a year and it's great. I skipped installing fans at first because the case is perforated all over so cooling isn't a problem. I will install a AIO water cooling unit in the future. Highly recommended.

    Had this for about 6 months and... I'm going back to the Silvetstone SG13BQ since all my components fit perfectly inside it and it's almost half in litres (only 11.5). Wish I can someday buy the DAN4; right now it's too much for my budget! The QBX is great for the budget, looks, and possibilities but too big for me :P

  • @ThiagoCunha
    @ThiagoCunha 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Thanks for all the details. This video is still the best source about the GPU clearance in this case, as Cougar states just 350mm length.
    Now I'm almost sure that's ok to upgrade to the ZOTAC RTX 4070 Ti Super Trinity Black Edition still using this case.
    The 2.5 slot width is still a somewhat uncertain measure because of the range of mms that might be considered 2.5. But I bet that fits with no fan at the bottom.
    So, it's 350mm length, 135mm height and 2.5 slots (about 62mm?) width.
    Oh, and thank you for not calling the height width as some people do. 😅 Remember, people, if you measure vertically it's height.

    I think the biggest reason why SFF cases are so expensive is that it's still a pretty niche market unfortunetly. And alot of people still believe that SFF pcs run loud and hot even though you can definetly build small, powerful and quiet systems these days.

      Dennis Ramberg Is it alright overclock a graphics card in it? How about on the qbx?

    • @DennisRamberg
      @DennisRamberg 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      youngurbangod small cases like these require you to think a little extra when it comes to component purchases. You definitely need a radial cooler on the graphics card (in order to push out the hot air efficiently). Top-down coolers are more efficient with generous airflow, but will unfortunately heat up small cases quite radically. My MSI Aero GTX1070 comes with a 200MHz Overclock. The GPU is able to maintain that overclock about 10 minutes in full load before clocking down to around stock speed. However, if you have vsync or framerate limiter set. And your GPU has some overhead in the game you are running, the card will be able to boost whenever needed. Worth noting is that the raijintek metis is ridiculously small. I needed a SFX power supply, my MSI Aero only have 1-2mm of space left before hitting the front panel. I had to make cuts in the usb cords from the top-panel in order to make them more flexible and being able to fit the card... so yeah, it's a tight squeeze. but it sure is beautiful once assembled. :)

    In this video you recommend removing 2 fans to make it quieter, but I've always been told it is actually quieter to have more fans because you can keep the rpm low as opposed to having less fans that need to ramp up to keep things cool. The added 2 fans are still quieter than the aggressive fan curves. Thoughts?

      Sgt Suicide yeah after researching I got the FH-10 from Deepcool. Is there any fan hub which can set fan speed separately for each fan?

    • @sgtsuicide6961
      @sgtsuicide6961 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@n.potter I don't think there is one that can control fans individually, since the pwm comes from the fan header, and the hub is just splitting that to the other fans.

    Will putting the two fans at the bottom as intake mess up the GPU fans direction or do GPU fans go the same direction as intakes from the bottom?

    19.9L isn't impressive at all. Heck, my tiny MATX case is 16.5L. At $50, I'd go for the Silverstone Sugo SG13. It's only 11.5L, fits ATX PSUs, 265 mm long GPUs (there are 1080 Tis shorter than this), and a 120 mm AIO for your CPU.

    The QBX looks like it is a very neat option. I wish this comparison between it, and the ncase had been available a couple weeks ago when i was seriously looking at ordering a QBX. :)
    I already have a build in an ncase, and i was debating whether i should go with the QBX for my second, more budget oriented sff build (1070 + i5 7500). In the end i ordered another ncase (which btw was $195 plus shipping when i ordered a couple weeks ago), as on paper, it looked to be a fair bit smaller than the QBX. Not so much, when looking at this video. Oh well, i'll probably still be happier with the ncase, just because of the quality. :) The rig is currently sitting in a Lian Li PC-Q35, which is definitely also high quality, but i'm annoyed by it's fairly large size.
    If i was to build in the QBX, i'd probably still go with an sfx PSU on a cheap adapter bracket, there are some great, cheaper options out there for sfx PSU's these days. I'd also probably stick with a 2.5" drive instead of a 3.5" one, in both instances, mostly because it's not really more expensive, but on the flipside it saves a ton of weight, and the smaller drive makes less noise when spinning up. :) That's my thoughts on it anyway.
    I do have a question though, that i'm hopingyou, or someone else can answer. I'm struggling a bit with PSU choice, i don't know if i should go with the corsair sf600, or if i can make do with the af450, for the before mentioned 1070 and i5 7500. I know the 450w is more than powerful enough to push the hardware, but the thing is, the rig needs to be dead quiet during idle and minor tasks like video streaming and such, because it's in my bedroom. As my other ncase build houses the sf600, i know that the fan in that one wont spin up during those types of tasks, but i'm unsure if it would on the 450 watt version, just because i'm guessing that it requires less effort to make the fan in the smaller PSU spin up. Any thoughts?
    Also, i hope to see a lot more SFF stuff from you, found this channel like a few weeks ago, and have been going through most of your content since. :) Love what you're putting out, great work!

    Hey total noob when it comes to building but I found your channel via your Fusion II - NCASE M1 build on pcpartpicker. I was wondering if I could fit this same exact build into the QBX! I don't see why not, I just want to be sure before making the purchase. Trying to save money so I'm skipping out on all drives besides the 250gb evo and another drive I already own, as well as passing on the sleeving. Pcpartpicker is flagging the CPU cooler and PSU as not being capable of fitting in the build, is this accurate?
