Thank you, Helen, for a doable finishing process. The cording demo was great, it even looks like I might be able to do it. I appreciate your kindness in sharing your finishing techniques.
Thank you for taking the time to demonstrate the finishing steps. I just ordered my first one and needed the help. Yours are so pretty and your work is so neat.
I finally get it! I’ve watched Vonnas video on cording a ton of times times but couldn’t get it. Yours I totally understand. I think you go thru the steps slower and in your area has more natural light maybe. Whatever I’m so grateful you did this video. Thank you.
Helen thanks so much for the tutorial! Love the round ornaments and they are finished the same as what I do when I applique for quilting....love the look and the two color cording looks easy enough. Thanks for taking the time to share!
Thank you so much for your tutorials and your youtube channel. I appreciate the generosity of your time and expertise. You are a great teacher, great stitcher, and great educator!!! I'm a long-time cross stitcher and learn something new every time I watch your channel. You exemplify "Live, Love, Laugh, and Learn." Thank you, Nora
Your Fiskar snipers are the absolute best scissors and great company. They have a lifetime warranty on all products and it is hassle free. I have four pairs of these snipers for different projects. Replacement is quick and easy. Also had my rotary cutter replaced. 🇨🇦
Thank you for the excellent video. I think I can try making cording now. I received my package from you. Thank you! Love your tutorials they are clear and easy to understand.
Such a helpful tutorial, thanks! For anyone wanting something similar to that pie tin, amazon has mini cake trays (3") that are about $10 for 20 of them. They are gold colored rather than white, and they don't have the hanger attached to them, but you could probably buy a pack of small eyelets in the hardware department and glue one of those to it.
Thanks for the tutorial. You make it look easy. I’ve made single color cording but haven’t been brave enough to try the two colors but now I think I can do it.
Great tutorial Helen! I need to get busy and make some ornaments. I have my “vintage” cross-stitch ornaments I made 34 years ago when I got married in little round ornament frames they sold back then. These are so much prettier. -Anne
Helen, this is a FABULOUS tutorial! Thank you so much for taking the time to share your expertise. Making cording has always intimidated me, even after watching Vonna’s videos a few years ago. I just finished stitching 2 round ornaments and need to FFO them, so this video will be so helpful. 🤗
Thank you so much for this video!! I have three round ornaments and was trying to decide how to make them, lacing versus using glue. These are the first round ornaments that I have made and will definitely be watching your tutorial again before I finish them. I also love your idea or putting a charm at the top center! What a great idea and I don’t have to make bows!! Thank you!!
I watched Vona’s tutorial at least 10 times but your tutorial is SO AWESOME !!! I think you explain what your doing more clearly fir me. Also, the lighting is easier for me to see what your doing. I ordered my krienck (spelling) from fat quarter shop. Very cute finish!! Excellent tutorial!!!!! Added to like tutorials !!!! Thanks Helen!!
Thank you! Decades ago, my local XS shop had a class. We stitched our projects on 22 ct over one thread (tiny!) and used two tops from buttons made to be covered (they’re a little convex). I’ve also used Mason jar lids. This year, my projects are a little too large for Mason lids, so I’m searching to see what others do. This is perfect! I’d love to find red tart tins. I’ve almost 10 months until Christmas, so 🤞🏻!
Thank you so much for this outstanding tutorial. It is clear and will be so helpful when I finish my round stitching and the cording tutorial was so so well done. Thank you
Thanks for the tutorial. I have a cording spinner and haven’t used it yet. So that was especially helpful. Maybe I can get going on some of my ornaments now.
Hi Helen, I can't watch this yet due to commitments but I'm so excited! Thank you so much for taking the time to do this. I'm not working tomorrow so this is my treat! Thank you xxx
Thanks Helen. Always love your tutorials. You also reminded me that I have several “rusty” tart tins stashed away in my frames and finishing supplies! Perfect for ornaments! If you have any good tips on storing all those do-dads for finishing please share! I buy when I see something at Goodwill or garage sailing then forget all my treasures!
Excellent video!! I’ve never made a cross stitched ornament before -mostly because I had no idea how to finish it off.😐 And that cord-maker! I’m going to Amazon right now to get one of those! Thanks for this tutorial!
So that is amazing. It might not happen for this year but you make the cording look so easy. I used to use all the gold ornament frames and I love them but they are hard to come by. Plus I love the look of your ornaments, front and back. Thanks for the tutorial.🎄👍
Great instructions! Very clear, and you are so relaxed that it makes me relax. Slow enough that I can stop during finishing my things. Thank you.

It was great to come back and rewatch this for my 2022 round holiday ornaments 😁. Thanks again, Helen!!
OMG!!! I can’t believe you said, “ compass…protractor…”. I go through that every time I pick up my instrument of same! That’s hysterical!😂❤
I finally get it! I’ve watched Vonnas video on cording a ton of times times but couldn’t get it. Yours I totally understand. I think you go thru the steps slower and in your area has more natural light maybe. Whatever I’m so grateful you did this video. Thank you.
