  • In this tutorial I'll show you how I made a flat finish with both ric rak and cording.
I use a Fiskars Procision Rotary Bypass Trimmer to cut my mat board and sticky board. They're quite pricey and do have limitations to the size of things you can cut, but it works great. amzn.to/2UHtEgC

I have just found you recently and have enjoyed watching and learning and seeing your beautiful projects. I cross stitched years ago and am just getting back into it and am no way experienced. So good to see how things get finished as never tried this. Did do some pillows but other stuff was framed. Looking forward to trying this out. Thanks for your easy explanation on how to do this

I just watched this. Nice job, Helen. Thank you for making these tutorials. All do respects and kudos to Vonna P., whose cording video spurred me to buy the tool and try it first time this coming spring - sometimes, its helpful to watch someone else go through a process. I for one see/learn something just a little bit different from multiple tutorials on the same subject. The same is true for cooking and baking. Every cook adds just a little something different which gives me a broader perspective on the dish so that I in turn can implement my own tweaks.

Love your tutorials!! I just finally finished the project bag using your tutorial you shared. I made it using Battle of Gettysburg fabric with an elephant zipper pull for my cousin. She's a native of the area and also owns Mister Ed's Elephant Museum and Candy Emporium! We're going to their home for a cookout tonight for the 4th of July and I wanted to surprise her with it! I made another bag before and it used french seams, etc. I really like your method I think the best! Thanks for taking the time to help us finish off our work!
