I watched your cording video and just now made made my own double cording. Easy peasy and I love it! Thank you for sharing your talents. Bless you and Merry Christmas to you and your family.
Thank you for all your videos. And you could always become a hand model if this finishing gig doesn’t pan out for you. 😉 you have the prettiest hands and nails!❤
Thank you so much for the updated cording instruction. I have watched your other several times and have made cording a couple of times. This video is even better and I think will make it easier for me. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and your life. You are a positive and uplifting person. You have made my day and give much encouragement with your IG post. 😃❤️
To have you in this video on my iPad, propped up on my worktable coaching me through this while I attempted my first length of cording (which came out so good I put it on a finished piece!) -well it was chef's kiss! Thank you so much for this and all the rest of the tutorials you freely share.
Thank you, Vonna, for this detailed tutorial on cording. I appreciate all of your tutorials!! I just finished two flat folds using your tutorial, and now I will be able to make custom cording for them. Our stitching world is blessed by your generosity! Thank you! ♥️
THANK YOU SO MUCH! Yes, I'm shouting! I always thought I had to go buy cording for those pretty edges. That limits you to their colors and is so expensive! I've ordered my Kreinik Cording Drill and can't wait to make my own! You. Are. The. Best.
Thank you. You’re are great teacher. I have learned so much from your videos. I sew, so … some of my cross stitching friends were looking for someone to finish their little works of art.
Have been using your other method for several years with good success. Now prefer this method! Much easier to keep the cording tight. The clamp is key! Thank you, Vonna! 😍
I love that we have an alternative way of doing this, I love the way you did it in the first video. When it comes to tape, any tape, I’m all thumbs and toes!
Thank you Vonna for your excellent videos. I have admired ornament cross stitch projects but have been hesitant to make many myself because I really did not know how to get great finishing results. So glad I discovered your videos! Thank you for generously sharing your techniques and knowledge! ❤
Cheers from Canada! Thank you for sharing your wisdom with us. I would love to learn how t sew cording onto a pillow. Would you consider doing a video on how to do the whip stitch, how to create a quilters' knot, and finish an item? I am so grateful for people like you in the world who are willing to share their knowledge and skills. 🌺🌷🌺🌷
Vonna, thanks so much for another great video! I can see how this would be easier to deal with long lengths of floss. I will definitely give it a try. Thank you so much for helping so many of us with all of your tutorials. Thanks to your generosity of time and knowledge in making the tutorials, I was able to make two flat folds with two of my cross stitch pieces. I watched and followed along with your flat fold tutorial and your cording tutorial. I’m very happy with them and excited to do more. I just cannot thank you enough!
Thank you Vonna!!! I have been inspired by tour article in PNPS magazine this spring and with help of your cording video have finished two flat folds!!! You are the best!!!
Thank you so much Vonna! I’ve avoid doing cording because I thought it was really hard to do by yourself, but you’ve made it look so easy. I really don’t know what I was afraid of-other than my own lack of knowledge. Love your video’s, your blog, your articles and everything else you do! Thank you for being the bigger than life inspiration to me & many other stitcher! 🤗😘🙏🏻 Lynn
Best cording tutorial ever! Thank you so much for sharing your techniques. I did make sure to use generous measurements so I would be sure to have enough finished length.
Thank you my dear friend, I will never be able to thank you for wonderful tutorials, I’ve helped be again and again! Merry Christmas to you and your precious family!!!!!!! 💚
Thank you Vonna. You are so generous to share your finishing videos . I look forward to trying this. All I need to do is buy a table clamp. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Thank you so much for your updated cording tutorial. It does seem easier when you show it from above. If memory serves me correctly I think your other cording tutorial was in your basement and you latched the floss to one of your shelves. I tried doing it but it was a fail. I think this one seems more doable for me. Thanks again.
Hi Vonna, Thank you so much for this tutorial. I just made my first two-color cord using a cup hook with my electric drill and your technique. I didn't want to invest in a special cording drill so tried the electric drill first. Mine has several speeds. I love how it came out and the dollar savings from buying twisted cord by the yard. Two skeins of DMC @ .65 cents each compared to $6.00 a yard at Jo-Ann's. Just want you to know how much I enjoy everyone of your videos and articles in Primitive Stitching. Thank you.
Thank you for the updated version Vonna. I really do need to do this. I don’t know why I have been afraid it won’t turn out for me. The most I’ll do it throw away some floss . I will do it
Hi Vonna, You are amazing and such a great teacher of finishing! Thank you for all your guidance over the years! I am definitely going to try this technique! Dottie
You did such an amazing job when I took your finishing class that included a cording lesson. You were so easy to understand and so patient. I was so lucky to have taken that class from you ❤
I love to learn new techniques! I've used the instructions from your previous cording video with great results, and now I 'm looking forward to trying this! I feel like I've just received a cool gift! Thank you!
I finally broke down and bought a Krienik corder. You live and demonstrate your faith in all that you do. Take care.
The Lord has blessed you with so many talents and he has blessed the stitching world with you sharing your talents! Thank you!
Every single time I finish a piece, I watch your cording tutorials. You are the best! Thanks for sharing!

This one I shared because of very long lengths and for cord with 3+ colors. Makes it much easier. I only use this way for those two reasons.
