रफीसाहेब आणि लक्ष्मीकांत प्यारेलाल हे माझे अतिशय आवडते कलाकार. रफीसाहेब माणूस म्हणूनही खूप मोठे होते हे खूपजणांकडून ऐकलं. पण लक्ष्मीकांत प्यारेलाल हे माणूस म्हणूनही तितकेच मोठे होते/आहेत हे आज अमरजींकडून ऐकताना ऊर भरून आला. त्यांच्याबद्दलचा आदर कित्येक पटीने वाढला. मुलाखतीतून अमरजींचाही प्रांजळ स्वभाव मनाला खूप भावला. मिथिलेशजी आपणास धन्यवाद!

Good insights into the Bollywood music from 1964 onwards... I am convinced more now than ever that Bollywood songs are more based on western symphonies than Indian classical. May be because of the initial influence of Goan musicians who were trained in Western classical.. chord and harmony based music than Hindustani classical. ( Hence even Lata-Asha sound more sweet in Bollywood music than classical mehfils. Being from Goa, both of them understood western chords based harmonies as well as Hindustani classical )
