@@msbte49 I think you're right cause she sided with Hera in Season 1. Given the wind based powers here, I think the Seafoam Myth is her origin story in this show.
Aphrodite's ability to conjure wind comes from her skills in magic and spell casting. She has the abilities of magic as seen in many of her legend and if you think back to the Trojan War, Aphrodite was able to shroud the battleground in a tempest of mist.
To be fair Heron is juiced to the brim by greek mythologys greatest monster. And Zeus in the show didn´t seem much stronger than his 2 brothers. Not like they ever dished it out with each other for real.

Damn at the end Heron became so powerful with the stone even Hades took a blow and Ares and he could’ve killed Hera. Clearly Zeus was the most powerful of them all and Heron got some serious potential to be up there with Zeus.
The Gaia was sick of the bs and said alright let’s just bring back the titans my only question was the rule under them any better or different ? How is bringing them back going to solve anything?
It was about teaching them a lesson to work together rather than fight and betray each other. She wants them to figure out solutions together rather than this bs.
Throughout Season 2 the gods referred to heron as the One who was Prophesized multiple times, so maybe He will help end the next God vs Titan war, bringing balance to the world
Completely agree! I actually really liked what they did with her this season. It was actually kind of endearing she was genuinely trying to atone (as much she's capable of, anyway).
RIP me hoping we'd get a Hades/Hera team up this season. Both in their respective messes because of loyalty to an SO... at least Persephone is actually loyal back tho 😆
Hermes basically became The Flash with the stone Amp and then Aphrodite turned into Storm with the twister and then Hades moving like Azazel teleporting with his blade and then Ares came thru with the hammer like he was Thor 😂
I quite like the family drama conflicts in this season, especially the appearance of fighting over inheritance between the children and then the mother starting to get annoyed with them
this is why i love western animation. if this were a japan anime, this fight scene would last for 10 episodes filled with internal monologue and flashback.
If you’re watching an anime and the fight last more than an episode, then you’re watching a drawn out anime that’s just trying to keep watch time up most good shows their fights will last probably around 3 to 4 minutes maybe a whole episode if it’s a bunch of people fighting in different locations
The battle was superb. Poseidon grand entrance Hermes power boost And heron been the coolest of all and showing mercy and forgiveness at the end, the gods brought the destruction upon their selves by making Gaia calling forth typhon, so we’ll be expecting S3 ig
Hades major flaw is to be loved and love back. Is that a bad thing hell no. Mistakes might be made, but respectable. To be like Zeus, Poseidon, or Hades, prefer Hades a lot more just because just wanting to be loved and love back. @katelynthom1924 she still acted better than everyone and acted like she was on a moral highground. Plus we barely got to see any interaction with Heron. Him sparing her would have been better if it was after he beat her into the ground like omni man did to invincible.

Wait a minute when did this debut. I never heard about it I saw the trailer. But it never said when it was coming out and now it’s over. I need to watch all of this because I need this spice in my life.
Even at his worst, I still consider Hades better than the others. Sure, he killed Heron but you can’t deny his family backed him into a dark corner he couldn’t get out of for so long. He was so terrified of having his wife ripped away from him again with no way of ever having his family in the underworld truly be whole. He also used Seraphim but was always honest about it and was willing to honor his end of the deal, not to mention he was patient with him because he understood him in ways the Olympians never would. He also cried when killing his nephew who he knew did nothing to him, he was so stricken by fear that he allowed himself to make a desperate choice that unfortunately backfired. A desperate man in pain who was tired of the suffering and scared of that being his eternity - but still honest and understanding of those his siblings would see as lesser.
I mean she’s a goddess I’m pretty sure their powers and abilities aren’t just limited to what ever their function is yes she a goddess of love but she can do more than just flirt, seduce and make ppl fall in love plus she’s also a war goddess in spartan tradition
Heron: now that i have won to end this foolish conflict i realise persephone from her bound and she,her children and hades can go to and from the underworld as they please but if this power is abused or you neglet your godly duties than you be bound oncemore and Aries and demeter clam your tits Edit: Honestly i feel like 90% of problems would be solved (in season 2) if this happened
I’m rusty on my Greek mythology. I know Gaia is a grandmother for a lot of the gods, but where is Rhea (Zeus’s mother) in this equation? I know her husband Kronos is in Tartarus but I don’t remember what happened with Rhea?
I think after the gods defeated the Titans she just sort of isolated herself away from everyone and I wish she had a combatant role like the others have in the show
I think there were about 4 or so Underworld characters with unique designs in this episode. Interestingly enough, one of them wore a winged helmet, but the thing is that we saw him/her before in a flashback, where he/she was killed by one of the Giants. There was also someone with black wings, he stood with Ares and (presumably) Nike during the games on Olympus. This must be Thanatos. I couldn't make out the other two female characters, though I think it's possible that they could be Lethe or/and Minthe.
@@rafaelsantos-nl9jd Right, I considered the possibility of the winged helmet deity being Hypnos, but he seemed too skinny in my mind. But in retrospect, it makes sense, given how Hypnos seemed rather gentle and soft in the actual myths. I'd imagine that Nyx wasn't too happy when he died while fighting the Giants, luckily he was brought back...
If Pureblood Gods are unaffected by Demeter's plant poisons while Demi Gods are weakened because they're part human, then why does Hestia look affected? She's Zeus's sister and daughter of Cronus, one of the 12 Greek deities.
Pureblood Gods are less affected. According to Athena, the poison was designed to be more severe for those 'born out of wedlock'. Hermes and Apollo noticed themselves to be rather weak while the likes of Athena and Hestia are not suffering as severely. Poseidon, Hera and Hades never inhaled the poisons.
@@MorokLeviathan I asked because I noticed Hestia looks affected, with a vein running down her face just like the ones born out of wedlock. I mean,it is an animated show, and given netflix is with those, they have to work season by season in order to not do too much work only to be cancelled. The wait was worth it in my opinion though
Since both seasons were in the top 10, I’d say Netflix may release it a bit earlier. Maybe in two years instead of four. But I’m just guessing.
@@VanessaSerpenteagle it would be great, but we know how Netflix can be sometimes
I'm hoping we get a S3 next year. I'd like to think a damn near 4 year hiatus is plenty of time to write two seasons. The showrunners said they have a five season plan, I really don't want to wait until 2040 for the final season lol
Blood of Zeus Season 2 is Amazing!!! So glad we got to see more gods especially Athena 🩶🩶
Athena was bad as hell ngl
@@Poussyeater-w5e I wouldn't say she was bad. But tbh they did really downplay her in terms of her strategies, tactics and abilities. She's the goddess of warfare and the mind, she should have gotten some more spotlight, especially since they were still at war.

Poseidon throwing the sea at Demeter was personal, also I sometimes forget that Afrodite and Ares are a thing probably I’m still confused about that one time saw the whole Greek Pantheon and said dang everyone’s Zeus kid after all

@@msbte49 I think you're right cause she sided with Hera in Season 1. Given the wind based powers here, I think the Seafoam Myth is her origin story in this show.

Actually it’s on 1:41, but it is a classic though 🙂
Aphrodite's ability to conjure wind comes from her skills in magic and spell casting. She has the abilities of magic as seen in many of her legend and if you think back to the Trojan War, Aphrodite was able to shroud the battleground in a tempest of mist.

Aphrodite is graceful even in battles.Damn I love her.❤And Ares...mhmmmm, now we know what she saw in him. Too bad he was kinda a jerk but hot as hell.

I was wondering that myself
It was about teaching them a lesson to work together rather than fight and betray each other. She wants them to figure out solutions together rather than this bs.
I think the intention is to just end the Greek gods period
Throughout Season 2 the gods referred to heron as the One who was Prophesized multiple times, so maybe He will help end the next God vs Titan war, bringing balance to the world
Gaia is just as bad, fuck all gods we need a god killer like Kratos

Poseidon's entrance though!🔥🔥
I can see Heron is tired all of types of conflict with the power as the basic reason, he wants to say, "Enough is enough"

This show is so fire. Waited so long for season 2 and now....the wait for 3!
this is why i love western animation. if this were a japan anime, this fight scene would last for 10 episodes filled with internal monologue and flashback.
If you’re watching an anime and the fight last more than an episode, then you’re watching a drawn out anime that’s just trying to keep watch time up most good shows their fights will last probably around 3 to 4 minutes maybe a whole episode if it’s a bunch of people fighting in different locations
Isn't the studio behind this show South Korean? LOL also, if this were a Japanese anime, chances are it'd have actually great animation...
It’s nice to see the Goddess are not helpless in battle and have power despite being noncombatant roles.

And heron been the coolest of all and showing mercy and forgiveness at the end, the gods brought the destruction upon their selves by making Gaia calling forth typhon, so we’ll be expecting S3 ig

Hades did nothing wrong
He did some wrong, but he had good intentions at heart. He is an antagonist but not a bad guy
Hades major flaw is to be loved and love back. Is that a bad thing hell no. Mistakes might be made, but respectable. To be like Zeus, Poseidon, or Hades, prefer Hades a lot more just because just wanting to be loved and love back. If you really think about it Hades is the least messed up of the gods, of all the gods of olympus he is the most chill and honest god, but modern media always labels him as the bad guy. Antogonistic yes, but very chill bro with good intentions
@@comora010304and He was cheated by his siblings lol but went with it cos what the hell, he is the eldest of them
@@ryomahoshi4529 To be honest I really hate how they did Hades and turned him into a miserable EMO and gave his personality to Poseidon, the most cruel, evil and disgusting God in all of Mythology but everything else was fine. I sort off expected them to make Hades what Gaia was. He should have been like his Mythic Counterpart who was a Family Man through and through and tried everything possible to prevent bloodshed and was a Voice of a Reason and if he couldn’t prevent a Fight he always stayed Neutral and only cared about the Balance of Creation.
The without a doubt worst part was when they made Hades so miserable and a simp that he allowed Demeter to unleash Covid-19 on Hellas instead of stopping her. Mythology Hades would have gutted Demeter right then and there and would never had backstabbed Heron.
They should have made Poseidon the Villain who was after the Eleusinan Stone cuz In Myths Hades chose the Underworld right after the Titans were dethroned and was totally fine there it cuz he loved the Riches and enjoyed having Mortals to entertain him eternally.
It was Poseidon who was always causing Havoc and Trouble and didn’t give two fucks about Mortals or the fragile Balance of Powers, was envious and tried to dethrone Zeus multiple times. Hades actually always had Zeus back and even helped him escape from a trap Hera, Poseidon and Athene laid.
The best and most accurate depiction of Hades ironically came from ASSASSIN’S CREED ODYSSEY where he was a wise Ruler but also a sadistic Master Manipulator who took great pleasure in hearing the Guilty and Useless tortured in Tartarus or being stuck in Asphodel and the Fields of punishment cuz that’s how he is described in Myth. He rules the Four Realms of the Underworld harsh but he also ain’t completely merciless and gives people chances to redeem themselves by working for him and takes joy in seeing dammed Souls having to fight for their second Chances. Plus like his Mythical Counterpart he is a fuckin GAMBLER!!!!!!!!!
I kinda hoped that they would have made Hades actually trying to redeem Seraphim if only for his own amusement till Poseidon or Ares managed to bride Seraphim to support them all while Hades was off watching everything and making Bets with either Gaia or Thanatos betting on who screws up first and while betting they discuss Mortals and Gods alike all while watching Heron. The Final Scene before Gaia crushed the Stone should have been Hades appearing revealing that he had the actual Stone the entire Time after Gaia gave it to him to keep it safe he then gives it to Heron while tossing a Drachma coin 🪙 to Gaia saying „It appears you win the bet Grandmother.” That’s where Heron gets backstabbed by Ares or better yet Poseidon and Gaia loses it
He did everything wrong
Just to be clear we all still hate hera right?
The way they lowkey made her the peace keeper this season is hilarious😂
I mean, what she did back in season 1 was absolutely disgusting but I would also lose my shit if my husband would cheat on me for,if probably lore accurate, the 10th time, having his 24th child and showing more affection to Electra than his own wife. She just went to the extreme with that war
@@ryomahoshi4529 right and practically everyone else besides Ares had zero time for her shit.

@katelynthom1924 she still acted better than everyone and acted like she was on a moral highground. Plus we barely got to see any interaction with Heron. Him sparing her would have been better if it was after he beat her into the ground like omni man did to invincible.

Which episode was this?
That's quite the title you got there
Is season 2 worth watching?
So no one is going to talk about how Aphrodite summons a tornado? Like why? she's a love god.
Isn’t Love like a tornado if you think about it lol
Prob if she had something like mind control or telepathy would be more believable
I just boil it down to Charmspeak.
I mean she’s a goddess I’m pretty sure their powers and abilities aren’t just limited to what ever their function is yes she a goddess of love but she can do more than just flirt, seduce and make ppl fall in love plus she’s also a war goddess in spartan tradition
They say " love is in thee AIR"
Heron: now that i have won to end this foolish conflict i realise persephone from her bound and she,her children and hades can go to and from the underworld as they please but if this power is abused or you neglet your godly duties than you be bound oncemore and Aries and demeter clam your tits
Edit: Honestly i feel like 90% of problems would be solved (in season 2) if this happened
These conflict out of control
I’m rusty on my Greek mythology. I know Gaia is a grandmother for a lot of the gods, but where is Rhea (Zeus’s mother) in this equation? I know her husband Kronos is in Tartarus but I don’t remember what happened with Rhea?
I think after the gods defeated the Titans she just sort of isolated herself away from everyone and I wish she had a combatant role like the others have in the show
i wish more of the Underworld Pantheon have specific designs, they are most shadows
Right thanatos should have shown a great design
I think there were about 4 or so Underworld characters with unique designs in this episode.
Interestingly enough, one of them wore a winged helmet, but the thing is that we saw him/her before in a flashback, where he/she was killed by one of the Giants.
There was also someone with black wings, he stood with Ares and (presumably) Nike during the games on Olympus. This must be Thanatos.
I couldn't make out the other two female characters, though I think it's possible that they could be Lethe or/and Minthe.
