Same! I always enjoyed watching these kinds of “As Seen On TV” commercials on Qubo, I was 11 though, and having the best times of my school life in my last 2 years of Elementary
They sold something similar at Walmart when these were on TV, my parents bought one cause my brother and I wanted them so bad. The middles were always a different texture compared to the outsides, oftentimes slightly undercooked. To compensate my mom left them in for slightly longer, which made the crusts burnt. So you either had to deal with correctly cooked outsides with gooey insides, or cooked insides with burnt outsides. Needless to say, we retired the pan after like a month or so.
I actually bought this! It's ALOT smaller then I thought, and I can't figure out how to put filings in it :P Other then that, they are ok, but I would just stick to regular pancakes or get a takoyaki pan :D

When I was younger, I loved this commercial, because it was such a long commercial that it was always the last one they showed during the commercial breaks, even if it was the first one shown during the break. I'm not making that up. Every single time, I would say to myself "It's just me. It won't be the last one." But it was every single time. If this commercial came on, I'd know my show was coming back on immediately afterwards. It was the perfect "alarm" so to speak. I was so sad when they discontinued this commercial.
I remember watching this commercial all the time. So many times that me and my brother eventually asked my parents to get one. And then we used it once (maybe twice) and never again. My parents said that it was because it was a pain to make anything with it
I had a nightmare with one of these as a kid, some dude at a fair throwing these and if they bit your ankle you go "blind" eventually I got hit by one and next thing I know I wasn't seeing the fair but my house so I was "blind"
Not only Denmark and Japan, it exists in South India too, called 'kuzhi paniyaram'. Sweet ones, spicy ones, stuffed ones and all of the above. We've had it for centuries too!
It looks like something we use at my house to make some asian food that I ate when I was younger... (No it is not Takoyaki, it's not a sphere it's a half-sphere)
I got one of these, they didn't make puffs. They made domes. Look, at 0:16 notice how the one she flips is suspiciously smaller than all the rest... They couldn't even fake it in their own commercial?
@SoCalSand I've heard that americans put corn syrup on their pancakes instead of maple syrup... I really don'y know if it's true, but I don't think maple syrup is THAT thick and dark..Anyways, being a Quebecer, defiling pancakes with corn syrup just disgusts me xD
i just picked one of these up Yesterday at a used goods place in the original box NEVER BEEN USED! My wife was thrilled as our prised Aebleskever pan was a moving casualty and the loss made her very sad, so this saturday it's Aebleskevers for breakfast! Yay --Rick
Yes, I thought they were just like poffetje. Yum whatever they are called. The Dutch, the Danes. Who cares who made them first . I've eaten them in South Africa and Australia and they are delicious wherever they are to be found.
Yup! I sometimes have my way and get what i want & I’m present/in when I’m in a good mood or if I’m feeling well but absent/out if I’m in a bad mood or if I’m feeling ill/sick now that/since i can have my own way and get what i want most times instead of all the time
I once bought a stove top takoyaki pan. It made me sad because they only work with gas ovens* and I own an electric. >: So now I have to go to my friend's house if I want to make anything round. *Electric ovens won't heat it properly since it doesn't have a flat bottom
I like how you simply named this video "pancake".
looool combined with the channels name "crustyhole"
Same lol
That is literally a takoyaki pan.
Maybe I want it for Christmas.
Britton Yeatter but made in AMURICA!
actually it's an ableskever pan from Denmark...but same idea
Yeah i agree with you
Yep
Imagine making a takoyaki with a pancake puff pan.
That's actually not a bad idea, a healthy version of takoyaki.
i did that :D
Giant takoyakis, I love it already 🤤🍡
It’s an easier way to make takoyaki
That's basically what it is just renamed😂
This actually a Danish pancake called aebleskiver. It is really good and often served around Christmas time.
don't forget the Lingonberry Jam!
Lingonberry?!? Were not swedes, thank you very much. I'm appaled. 😣
I thought it was something to make Doughnut Holes/Munchkins.
looks like an american imitation of a takoyaki grill
More like an Aebleskiver pan. It's even basically pancake batter. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/%C3%86bleskiver
that was exactly what I was going to say!
La Greñas trueee
Yep
It's a RIP off
Take a shot every time he says "puffs".
Josie Keomany a shot of pancakes puffs you mean
Trying to kill me, aren't you?
Are you trying to give someone alcohol poisoning? because this is how you give people alcohol poisoning
dude this is like the mini version for the takoyaki pan in japan

Ditto, this brings back so many memories.
Ya me to those was the good old days I want to go back in time early (2000's) so much

@@lunahetfield I had to stay up till about 1 am to find the commercial haha
I remember this commercial, these pancakes puffs are looking good.
I love how they just called the video “pancake”
Yeah same
Voice over: Do you like pancakes? Me: Why yes, yes I do. Continue
This commercial looks like it’s the 90’s
This is basically poffertjes
Whether or not this is original or copied, you can't ignore that this actually sounds like a decent product.
So it's basically a takoyaki pan
Now that I'm looking at it, it's just a takoyaki maker for pancakes. That being said, it's hella awesome.
I actually bought this! It's ALOT smaller then I thought, and I can't figure out how to put filings in it :P

Yup. Danes makes "Æbleskiver" in this thing, and the Japanese makes "Takoyaki's".

What the heck. Round pancaces? How good can they taste o.o
I believe the makers didn't had the thought of takoyaki at all. EVER.
Yes, I thought they were just like poffetje. Yum whatever they are called. The Dutch, the Danes. Who cares who made them first . I've eaten them in South Africa and Australia and they are delicious wherever they are to be found.
This is actually pretty a good idea
Yes trying to flip them little things over makes things so much easier
Anna Simpson Oh shit, better make an invention for using an invention!
...so basically, you're making donut holes.
Lol! No! Doughnuts and doughnut holes are deep-fried in oil! And these pancake balls aren’t! XD
it's actually æbleskiver, a danish christmas "cake" which translates to "appleslices" because it used to have, you guessed it, apple slices in it!
I have to get my hands on a Pancake Puffs pan!

In Denmark we Call these: “Æbleskiver”. Try googleing it!
Let’s go show brought me here
It’s making me hungry for pancake carbs
I'd do ANYTHING for a stack of flapjacks.....But pancake puffs?! Now my stomach's growling!!!
in Denmark we have something like this it is called a "æbleskive-pande".
OMG I so want to eat one of those.
He calls everything puffs but just says pigs in a blanket
0:36 looks like a flower!
@DreamCore2011
yeah, this pan and "pancake puffs" already existed a long time before this 'revolutionary' commercial came to light.
I would definitely want a year supply of those flipping sticks.
I always use a metal knitting needle to flip my aebelskiver and I have been for the last 40 years.
I have this I still use it even puff eggs
I once bought a stove top takoyaki pan. It made me sad because they only work with gas ovens* and I own an electric. >:
So now I have to go to my friend's house if I want to make anything round.
*Electric ovens won't heat it properly since it doesn't have a flat bottom
I guess they don’t know the phrase flat as a pancake huh
The only difference between this and a takoyaki maker is that this is advertised to make junk food. Nice one America.
I think these pans existed for like.... 400 years in Denmark....
Lol I love how you simply just titled the video “pancake”
you know, i used to think finger food was food shaped like fingers...

Its a big-ass takoyaki pan. THATS IT!
Do you like pancakes? :D

It's Pantastic 😳😳😳😳😳😳
they all end in puff.......
