Thanks for watching! Would you be interested in purchasing a detailed course on how to make forged carbon fiber fabric and/or how to use the material? Please let me know if this would be useful to you!

It might sound a bit far fetched for now but I would use it to build the body of my robots.

Non uniform shapes would be a challenge I’d like to see how to overcome.

Hi Lindy! Yes I am interested in buying the full course on this subject and anything carbon fiber related. Thank you for the tutorial

you made the fabric now we need the carbon fiber shoes!!!

I have a lot of carbon fiber stuck to my shoes from all the spray glue everywhere. If I just spill some resin on them now, I will be good to go.

Thank you 🙏 I've literally been wondering how to do this very thing 😊

Amazing idea! Have you used it like a normal CF fabric in a resin infusion application?

I'm not very experienced with resin infusion, but I have done tests and it does work.

Super cool. I thought you were going to spray glue on both sides.
This is very useful for doing stuff on a sailboat.

This is cool, the only downside I can see is it will use much more resin than standard cloth.. So probably no good for lightweight parts, probably would be more britle also.. But still.. In a pinch for some general reinforcing i like it..

I use it as a decorative element and back it with woven fabric for strength in molding application.

Great to see you back in action! Keep it up.
This is me, but do you think there might be also a lot plastic waste? Could the table covering plastic be re used, etc?

plastic must be used before it becomes waste on its own. We are forced to produce plastic by refining oil. So there is no point in saving small pieces of plastic.

What’s the largest “thing” you built using carbon fiber?
I got many questions hope you don’t mind them 🙏🏻

Unfortunately there is a lot of waste working with composites. It bothers me, too.
The longest dimension was probably the carbon fiber sword. Well I also did an art piece that was bigger but there isn't a video for it. So nothing impressive yet.

Yes! This was the final step in making my DIY submarine. Billionaire schmillionaire. Flex tape is my backing fabric. I'm going to go see the Titanic!

Hahaha! Not making fun of you, I am the same way. Follow your maker dreams, what a great time to be alive at least in the sense that we have access to so much wonderful science and tech at home.
