after watching so many depressing possum clips on youtube where people are being blatantly mean to possums this clip gives me hope in some humans. Possums are so misunderstood and are beautiful creatures. Thank you for caring.

I'm rather fond of 0:56, when the camera person zooms in on mom and two of her babies' heads are on top of hers, all pointed in the same direction, with another under her chin and the fourth peeking up over her back. Adorable!
I probably shouldn't but I love giving my opossum eggs. He bites the tops off and slurps the insides. If I put regular food vs eggs out, he gets the eggs first. He'll eat raw, boiled, scrambled, you name it. Their hands make it look like you're watching a big rat or hamster. Trying to keep him in my area since people here panic and shoot or let dogs attack them. At least I can watch and feed him and know he's safe if he stays nearby.

Are these opossums about the size when they leave their mother? My Chihuahuas cornered a small opossum tonight. After putting my dogs in the house, I put heavy duty gloves on and put the "playing dead/weak" opossum in a shoe box. I went inside to get it water and food. When I came out, it was gone. I'm worried about the little guy. I hope the opossum is old enough to make it.

I "used" to have a possum. We rescued him when he was very little. We spoiled him too much, so when we let him go, he never really became a wild possum. lol. He doesn't really remember us so we can't pet him like we used to. But he'll come into our house via the cat flap at night. He's such a cute possum. He's becoming very fat too. lol x3

She's probably no more scared of him than anyone else going about thier business there. It's not like he was yelling at them or anything. Possums are pretty timid animals already you know.

I don't entirely understand how people can't see how adorable opossums are.
Simultaneously, I don't understand how people can see koalas as cute, those things look like bears that got hot with the ugly stick so hard they lost a few IQ points.

Opossums are NOT mean. They'll run any chance they're given. I certainly hope you didn't intentionally let your dog attack the Possum.
Lots of idiots do. Because the almighty dog alone evidently has the right to a peaceful life and other animals are simply there, food, pests, or are otherwise expendable.

Very cute, but her look says it all. I love Opossums and see them where I live in the city of Atl as I live right next to a creek so there are plenty of raccoons and Opposums. After watching several of the opossum videos here I'm curious if they ever play, especially the young ones.

They know on what to feed themselves but they don't know where to find it out there, if they were grown up as pets.
Usually, they look like they're smiling. That momma does not look happy. You can almost hear her yelling "Get a job!"
