This is such a riot. I love that the animals are so well-loved. I had a ratty years ago that I loved, and wild opossums have come in through the cat door. They eat the cat food, and I ignore 'em. Raccoons are a different story. They steal keys and passwords, and make long distance phone calls without paying for them, and, they have lawyers.
Eight years later and we are still with you. I just found this channel a couple of months ago and love it! I've watched all your opossum videos. ...some more than once! These should be mandatory for kids to see so they learn to respect animals and not mistreat them. A lot of adults could benefit with some education, too.
"... it enjoys sardines, eggs, rats, yogurt..." LMAO! Priceless. Not only are these videos helpful, they are funny too! TY for showing people that possums are not the evil creatures most think they are. Excellent, I can't wait for more videos!

I miss my pet rats; they are sooo smart; we live in a two story house and one of the older ones propped up the cage (even though we had a rock on it) ... got out walked all the way upstairs (have a 6 bedroom house) ... went into my bedroom, climbed on top of my bed.. I woke up to a rat crawling on my face.. I didn’t freak out I just said ahhhh “mama got out” ... her name was “mama”, we used to bread them and keep a couple for pets and give the rest to friends.
Such a well behaved opossum. I love them, they are adorable. I'm helping two get through the winter. They also get good food to eat. Never garbage or rotten foods. Not a lot of cat/dog food either. I buy 'opossum chow' and add fresh fruits, veggies, and eggs, either hard boiled or scrambled. But no dairy. I have read it's not really that good for them. Important is balanced calcium.

Opossums also love cat food. A wild one come around our house and eats all of our out door cats food. Scares the hell out of the cats and the rest of us. Hers is cute though.
