I bought a Crossfire XL with water table, limit switches, THC, laptop stand, and the Razorweld 45 with machine torch. I'm actually hoping to have first fire this evening. I've wanted for one for a while, and after I added some auxiliary hydraulics on my tractor, I decided I didn't like the bracket that came with it, so I'd cut my own :). On the topic of high quality air, google for "compressor aftercooler". Basically, it's taking an automotive transmission cooler and water separator, and then plumbing it between the compressor head and the tank check valve. The advantage to this is it keeps water out of the tank, reducing corrosion. I've got a two water separators, a dessicant stage, and a Motor Guard 60 micron filter at the moment, but I'm going to add the aftercooler as soon as I can start cutting some brackets. FYI: It's your fault I bought the Crossfire :)
Love your videos Mike, I bought a titanium 125 welder because of you and have been welding and fixing things around the house that other wise would have been replaced. Keep sharing your knowledge and creativity, you have a gift to share.
I first came across your channel when looking for bandsaw mill stuff. I've since pretty much watched every video you've put out, regardless of content. For me it's the presenting style and video production that make your channel very watchable for me, that and the great information and no nonsense explanations of what you do. Keep up the great work!
Damnit Mike you are a damn genius. I have been waiting for someone to post a "real" video on the Arcdroid use and demonstration. Seriously your videos are always top notch. I want one of these so darn bad right now it hurt!!!!
Right on thanks Jon 😊 I will cover more about this Arcdroid in the near future, I will go over the touch screen and how to draw simple parts and the trace features. This way you and others have a much better idea of what is possible with the simple software and what would be better to draw in a computer program. Take care and have a great weekend 😊
Finished building my JDsGarage plasma table about a month ago. Been fighting my little HF 3 in 1 Tig, Stick and Plasma machine with all the CNC EMI hardening stuff. It does cut but cannot plunge as initial torch height is critical for arc start. So I finally pulled the trigger on this Arcfony CUT53N cnc! Should be here today! I had watched this video a few months back but wasn't thinking of a plasma cutter at the time. Found this video again on researching the Arcfony, LOL. Great video as usual! Keep it up.
Just before Covid (spring of 2019) we bought a Crossfire basic table and a Miller 625 X-treme, had a terrible time with the software. Fusion 360 was terrible to use in our setting because it's internet based and our connection was very slow. Also the old Mach 3 which isn't dedicated to plasma cutting was less than user friendly. During the 1'st year of Covid our shop was shut down and the machine sat. The 2'nd April of covid (2021) we opened our shop and it was either get the Crossfire going or get rid of it. We threw Fusion away and bought QCAD and Sheetcam, meanwhile Languire came out with their ArcFire software. In about 2 weeks very part time we learned enough software and got everything running. My advice is Fusion is way more program than you need for simple 2D parts, SheetCam works and ArcFire is a game changer. Once you can CNC cut you look at projects completely differently.
Yes Fusion 360 is way overkill for simple 2D stuff, I definitely have been looking into other programs. 😊👍 I will take a closer look at QCAD and Sheetcam. Thanks for checking out my new video.
@@Mikefestiva Hi Mike............enjoy your videos.....QCAD is pretty intuitive and all you need for 2D cut drawings, Sheetcam is also 2D and works fine, we loaded both on the laptop that drives the Crossfire table so it's all right there and resident with our table......... we also have copies on home computers so w can design & post process there as well.....works for us.......73 MP
@@michaelpolimer2128 I'm using F360 for my Crossfire pro, w/ THC, right now and it's way more hassle than I'd prefer, overly complex and they are pretty restrictive with the hobby license. What is post processing like with QCAD, SheetCam and ArcFire? Is it pretty straight forward like F360? Do you still use FireControl from Langmuir Systems? I did a quick look for ArcFire and didn't find it. Where can I find it?
Well I bought the Arcdroid through your link. I've got it set with THC and it's pretty impressive except I haven't done a lot with it yet. Just hoping to work area doesn't turn out to be to small. Thanks again for all the content, your Fusion 360 videos REALLY helped me. Take care.
So I bought a cooler radiator for my air compressor With a filter moisture trap and I’m going to put another filter moisture trap and desiccant dryer right before the plasma cutter. The same one you have from Harbor Frieght I just picked it up. Mike you’re the best love your videos
Yes I would like to see a comparison. Been sitting on the fence between Langmuir and arcdroid. The biggest draw back on the arcdroid is its cutting area. Last thing I want is wishing I have gotten a bigger machine even if I lose the simplicity of the arcdroid
Nice! Yes for the price and quality I’m also really happy with it. What I really like about it is it always starts on every cut, I have had blow back pilot arc start plasma cutters sometimes miss a start in the past when cutting out a CNC part with many different Pierce points. This Arcfony hasn’t missed a start yet and I have made hundreds of cuts with it so far. 😊👍 That’s awesome your are building your table!
Hi Mike, I'm a huge fan and have learned a lot from watching your channel. Matter of fact I bought the Arcfony from watching your video. I took your advice and wired 220 in my garage. I've also, used the same filter/dryer you have. I could sure use your help hooking up my Arcfony for my first cut. I bought the X2 and hoping to make my first cut by Friday. I have a 60 gal Mega Compressor which should do the trick. My plasma table is almost ready except for the final down draft addition like yours. Getting really close and would be forever grateful to you for some of your knowledge hooking this thing up. Glenn Green from Corpus Christi, Texas
Love to see uploads from you, my wife would rather I not watch cause I am always buying more fab tools after watching..lol thanks for the video, looking forward to your next build…and I would love to see an update video on some of your past builds…
Definitely, having limited time to work in the shop these days, it’s nice to draw and cut parts for projects quickly. Thanks for checking out my new video! Have a great weekend 😊👍
I'd love to see a comparison video between the two. I'm mentally preparing myself to get a CNC plasma cutter for my workshop and would find a video like that really useful. Those arcdroids are a very unique system.
Hi Mike, loved the Vid! Yes, would like to see a comparison on the Langmiur table and the ArcDroid. While at it, might also address which Langmiur table to get. For example, I think you have a larger one but not the Pro? A comparison maybe of the smaller table (4'x4' ?) and the ArcDroid would be particularly interesting since they are both kinda competing in the smaller size part space whereas the advantage of the larger Langmiur tables is obviously that one can do large parts. Another thing to consider is maybe being able to free hand manual plasma torch cutting of the main features of a large part (for example the outer perimeter) and then see about registering the large part to the small Langmiur table or ArcDroid to cut out small registered detail (like a plurality of precisely placed holes or features). I saw the registration trick done on another channel, so he could cut a 4'x8' sheet with a 4'x4' Lamgmiur table. I think most folks would probably be doing smaller parts more often (I kinda think that is what you are getting at with the ArcDroid), but may have need to do larger parts on occasion, so would like the capability to do those larger parts, even if it means fiddling with some gyrations. Thanks for all you do!
Ya, a comparison video would be great. It sounds like the cost is similar, but the Arcdroid is more user friendly and approachable for the hobby types.
Super interested in a comparison video, especially between the Arcfony and Razorcut. I still have the Crossfire Pro that I got right after seeing the one you got but the Razorcut plasma cutter has been giving me fits. I got one of the early ones that had the flawed circuit board and I took it up to Kent where one of the guys at Jasic did the mod that was supposed to fix it. Unfortunately it still doesn't like to pierce while stationary. As soon as the torch starts to move it makes it through, so I make my lead ins as long as possible and about half of the running feed rate. This only works on stuff that's less than .125" thickness with larger hole diameters. Thank you so much for doing all the work and making videos. I watch them all.
It definitely sucks when the plasma cutter misses a a start, I have experienced that on occasion with the Titanium 45 and the Hynade. This is probably one miss start out of 50 starts or so. The Arcfony has been really good, it’s only missing a few starts out of hundreds I have made so far. So far I think it’s the most affordable CNC plug and play available on the market. The thing I like more about the Arcfony CUT53N then the Hynade CUT60DN is the Arcfony coming with an adjustable regulator and the Hynade is fixed at one air pressure. The Hynade has a really nice torch lead but I think the Arcfony’s lighter duty torch lead works better for the arcdroid because it’s built lighter and is more flexible for the arcdroid arm to easily move it. I’m sorry you are having so much trouble with the Razor weld plasma. For the cost of the Arcfony I think you would use your CNC table a lot more. Ps what software are you using? I have only used Fusion 360 but have heard a few others mention they use Sheetcam and QCAD. I’m thinking of looking into those programs.
MIke this is a great setup. Now it has me regretting giving away my other gladiator rack. I have a second one but I have just been debating buying the arcdroid vs making my own unit cnc controller from a laser engraver.
I would also like to see the comparison. I’m in the process of building another shop that will give me a lot more room and at some point I would like to get a CNC plasma table.
I would be interested in a video comparing the two. It's funny how you started with the smaller Langmuir table, then went to the big one and now going back to a smaller unit that the Arc Droid is. Of course your projects were much different with each unit. I'm still diggin' the Mini Pinzgauer build.
Thanks for checking out my new video! Yes I will make the comparison video, seems like many people showed interest in that topic. Haha yes I went from small to bigger then back to small again 😂 I have been so busy with my two kiddos and my main job I find it harder to get as much time in my shop. The Arcdroid is so quick to draw and cut basic parts I just use it a lot more these days the the Crossfire. Take care and have a great weekend 👍
Mike you should fabricate a inline spark arrestor out of fine steel mesh to prevent dust in your ductwork and fan housing from catching fire! Much like exhaust on a lawn mower muffler.
Nice way to set it up Mike :) Need to make this with the square pipe on my water table for the plasma. Using angle iron now, which is not as precise. And good to see a video from you again :) 😊
I’ve been using the Arcfony plasma cutter for about a month and a half now and it’s worked pretty well for what I’ve needed, I ended up getting it on sale with the 3/4 year protection plan for less than $300 or something around there. Not too bad for a plug and play plasma cutter that’s for sure.
Love to see the comparison video, please do it! Also, you should check your Arcdroid link... looks like it got truncated and removes your affiliate info.
Great video, but where/how do you get consumables to the IPT-53 torch? I now you have a link to it here, but amazon says it`s unavailable for a very long time. Is there other consumables who will fit, like the IPT-60?
Mike, for your fan, you might have been able to use the fan from a clothes dryer. They move a lot of air, but for an electric dryer, your motor would probably be 240v.
Mike, would you consider doing a comparision of the Arcfony, Best Arc, Hyanide, and the HF plasma's you have used and loved over the years? Maybe for CNC and non-CNC use? What options do you like for an application and why this one is cool over another. I know you have done some individual reviews for them. Just a thought. I know you are a busy man with multiple hats to wear. Appreciate your time.
Thanks for checking out my new video! Man you will really enjoy the Evolution metal saw, they aren’t cheap but make they sure cut quickly and accurately 😊👍 have a great weekend!
Thanks for breaking down the differences in both systems. I think this could be a promising side business in the right area. Can we get an update on the articulating dump truck?
The one thing I'll add as a comment is about that Costco shelving. Those shelves are GREAT and are pretty heavy duty. But if you want to set up a workbench or a CNC router or something on them, bolt the shelf legs down. The shelving is great for storage but may want to wobble or tip on you if you do much work on them.
Hello mike ! Awesome video , I have watched few times now , I have also ordered the same set up here for my own shop , i was just curious on the thickness of steel you were cutting for your tool holders and what the settings were on the arcdroid ? Would just like to get myself setup with a great base line to start from thanks !!
Hi Mike, awesome video!!!. After many hours checking out TH-cam you have answered so many of my questions except 1. I just bought the Arcdroid, you have convinced me to buy the Arcfony and air drier as you have shared with everyone. My question is what size air compressor are you using...the specs would be great. Thanks for the great info.
Hey Mike it's been some months and was curious if you have any recent feedback or info regarding the arcdroid? You seem to make great content and always provide solid feedback. I'm on the fence between it or the langmire small table and am space constrained so the arcdroid is a little more appealing. Thanks sir!
Man i need one :D Great video Mike. i buzzels me that you have so many options in the states, yet we have none of these "consumer" level CNC plasma cutters... closest ones iv seen are like 10k+ pro type of crap...
Mike, it’s good to see you man, I hope everything is well with you! Thanks for the video. I’ve been watching you forever and love coming across your videos in my research. Happy holidays, much love from Massachusetts
Thanks man 😊 I really appreciate it! Happy holidays and thanks for checking out my videos 👍 I definitely have a lot of them on my channel covering a WIDE range of topics 😊
Nice video I just received my Arcfony today and just ordered consumables from there too so they are in stock. I'm just waitining on my Arcdroid to get here. Looking at your video you used the 5 pin connection. This is all new to me and I dont quite understand the wiring so how did you connect yours to the Arcdriod. I see two red wires and 2 black wires???
I'd like to see the comparison ... the ArcDroid looks very interesting. You mentioned that add revenue was down ... just my two cents ... about 5 episodes in the last 7 months on the Kei truck thing ... sorry but not my cup of tea ... I found this channel for the fabrication and product reviews -- just a thought. Keep up the great work though!!!
Well I have two small kiddos and a full time job so it’s hard to make free content as much as I had before. I’m dedicating all the extra time I can to this channel. The funny thing is the Kei truck videos are the only videos that actually get watched, so I’m going to post content that people actually watch.
Hi Mike, I'm a new subscriber to you channel.....love your content. Quick question....I just ordered the Arcdroid and the Arfony Cut53 N Pro as well as the exact air drier/filter because of what you shared on your video. My next purchase is an air compressor. I'm a hobbyist in my home shop and would like your opinion on what size air compressor would work best with my set up.
I have the same arc fony plasma. How do you hook up the cnc ports in the back? Do I need a relay? What wires between the two red and two black go to the vcc and what ones go to the pmw? My cnc light is on but torch won’t fire
how is the repeatability? accuracy on the acr droid ?is the cut quality ,dimensional size equal to the crossfire gantry table. when you trace something how accurate is the trace and can you edited the trace to make the part smaller or larger? would like to see a comparision between arc droid and crossfire . on the fence now which one to order. Thanks
Would you suggest the Hynade CUT60DN or Arcfony CUT53N Pro CNC today for a non Arcrdoid cnc? Also .. would you say Plasma is suitable for nice clean cuts on thin metal sheet say 1mm to 2mm (sorry dunno what that might be in imperial!) Great videos btw!
Hi Mike. Can you please share you machine setups? Cut speeds, amps, etc. Just ordered the same machine 😊 Maybe in Arcdroid forum? Im new to plasmacutting and arcdroid.
Mike, I'm happy to soak in anything you throw at us. And your advice help me decide to put in some 220-240 V circuits. Got a question for you. Does anything you use need 2 or 3 phase 240 V? Would you recommend putting anything that heavy into a home-gamers shop? Thanks in advance.
Having 220 in your shop is really nice, You won’t regret it. Where I’m at 3 phase is out of the question. At my work we have 3 phase 480 volts along with some lower voltage stuff then that. It’s to expensive to get In most home shops. I bought a lathe years ago that was 3 phase, I bought a rotary phase converter and that took care of my needs, there’s also VFDs if you need some 3 phase. As long as you have 220 Volts you can make 3 phase with ether of those methods 😊👍 Take care and have a great weekend!
I think this is the best value for a blow back pilot arc start plasma with CNC pugs on the market.consumables are also very affordable. Consumables can get fairly pricey on most name brand plasma cutters. So far I haven’t had any issues with it, time will tell? The plasma I have had the most time cutting on my other table is the Titanium 45, it’s cut a few thousand feet of metal so far and it’s still going good after 4 plus years but it doesn’t have CNC ports and it’s about $900. As long as most of the metal you plan to cut is 1/4” and under I think the Arcfony would be a great plasma for your CNC table.👍
I'd love to hear your thoughts on water table vs down draft table. I like the idea of a down draft because i don't want a tank/tray of water to deal with. I'm just not sure if you are giving anything up with the down draft table?
Well I have both, water and down draft, My friend has a CNC and he doesn’t have ether, his table produces a lot of smoke and sparks, not really very good to be around. A water table is nice and it also keeps thin metal cooler so it doesn’t warp as bad, it does really suck to clean out though when it gets dirty and slugged up. That’s why I wanted to build a down draft for the Arcdroid, a down draft is really clean and much easier to clean up. I’m sure each table has its pros and cons but they both help keep shops and lungs clean and I think that’s probably the most important thing.
@@Mikefestiva I grew up using a plasma cutter in our attached garage. You could smell it in the whole house. I have the yeswelder combo tig/stick/plasma with the built in compressor. I roll it outside when I make cuts. I don't see myself doing it with a CNC plasma table. I'm likely a few months away from picking a CNC table (other projects to finish first).

Always appreciate these videos Mike, full of useful tips! Keep-em coming 👍
Thanks man 😊 I really appreciate it 👍
A pros/ cons and comparison video would be great! Also I think it would great to see how you draw parts on the arc droids system!
Let's see the comparison of the two CNC machines. I'm looking at getting one soon!
I think a comparison would be nice, I agree with you I dislike drawing using a CAD for simple parts, it seems to be easier to use the Arcdroid system.
You using on arcdroid?
I am using it with a 1st gen Languir systems 2x2 plasma table. the combo works pretty well. @@Hustlerhotrod
@@HustlerhotrodLangmuir systems plasma table, 2x2 table
Don't know why i never thought about buying bulk dessicant gel before. That could be really useful for a couple things I can think of.
Mike, thank you so much for the quick reply! I will get the Hynade. I already have it cart! Via your link!
Great setup! I just got my ArcDroid setup and will be getting a video ready soon
Nice! I think you will like it 👍
Love to see the comparison video, please do it!
Also, you should check your Arcdroid link... looks like it got truncated and removes your affiliate info.
Thank you Mike! Great video. Glad to see you putting out content! Have a great day!
Id love to see the comparison. I love all your videos.
Hell Yeah to a comparison video.
Cool 😊 I will start on that video soon!
Very interesting video, please keep making these types of videos and how to program them etc 👍
Right on 👍 I will definitely have a few more videos posted this summer about the programming side is it. Thanks for checking out my new video 😊
Miss your videos, welcome back!
Thanks 😊
Definitely want to see a comparison Mike.
Cool I will definitely start on that video 😊👍
Great video!! I'm thinking about purchasing a cnc plasma and this video was so helpful! Please do a comparison video of the Arcdroid vs Languir
Your DIY down draft table turned out great! That Arcdroid is slick! I would love to see a comparison video.
Thanks 😊 I appreciate it 👍
I definitely will get working on the comparison video this summer.
Good overview.
Miss your drum breaks!
Thanks man 😊👍
Mike, would you consider doing a comparision of the Arcfony, Best Arc, Hyanide, and the HF plasma's you have used and loved over the years? Maybe for CNC and non-CNC use? What options do you like for an application and why this one is cool over another. I know you have done some individual reviews for them. Just a thought. I know you are a busy man with multiple hats to wear. Appreciate your time.
The plasma CNC comparison would be interesting
Looks good Mike! Lot of good ideas! I finally broke down and got the Evolution saw!
Thanks for checking out my new video! Man you will really enjoy the Evolution metal saw, they aren’t cheap but make they sure cut quickly and accurately 😊👍 have a great weekend!
Thank you for sharing,i learn a lot and always a pleasure watch your video and your explanation is simple and easy 👍👍👍👍
Thanks 😊 I really appreciate it 👍
Would be interested in seeing more about the arcdroid and of course more on the Langmuir
Cool! I will start on that comparison video soon 😊👍
yes. would appreciate your views on the arcdroid, and in comparison with the cross-fire
Thanks for breaking down the differences in both systems. I think this could be a promising side business in the right area. Can we get an update on the articulating dump truck?
Thanks 😊
Yes I definitely need to make an update video on the Articulating dump truck 👍 maybe later this summer I will post a video 😊
Do you have any basic cut settings for this setup?
Hey I’m currently looking at buying one or the other I would love to see the comparison!
Defo looking forward to the comparison 👍
The one thing I'll add as a comment is about that Costco shelving. Those shelves are GREAT and are pretty heavy duty. But if you want to set up a workbench or a CNC router or something on them, bolt the shelf legs down. The shelving is great for storage but may want to wobble or tip on you if you do much work on them.
Hey man, huge fan of all your content! I’m really interested in seeing the comparison. Thanks!
I would like to see a comparison video.
A comparison would be great also a more detailed video on the arc droid
I would love to see a comparison episode? Thx!
Would love to see the pros and cons of both systems versus cost point.
Comparison video would be very interesting!
Right on 👍 I will start working on one 😊
Mike, love the video. I apologize if this has already been answered, can you tell me the tolerance the Arcdroid can hold?
Please do the comparison video.
Thanks
Nice setup Mike
Thanks 😊
Would you suggest the Hynade CUT60DN or Arcfony CUT53N Pro CNC today for a non Arcrdoid cnc? Also .. would you say Plasma is suitable for nice clean cuts on thin metal sheet say 1mm to 2mm (sorry dunno what that might be in imperial!) Great videos btw!
Hi Mike.
Can you please share you machine setups? Cut speeds, amps, etc.
Just ordered the same machine 😊
Maybe in Arcdroid forum?
Im new to plasmacutting and arcdroid.
Great info. Thanks for video
Nice features for the diy guy, kudos snooky pa.
Definitely 😊
Have a good weekend 👍
Been keeping up with your fab videos and would love to see a comparison video
Hopefully you will do some more fusion 360 tutorial videos
Definitely do a comparison.
Mike from mo here, id love to see a comparison video bud. Riding the fence here. Lol which way to go 😂. Thanks mt
Cool 👍 I definitely will start working on that video!
Thanks for checking out my new video 😊
As long as you have 220 Volts you can make 3 phase with ether of those methods 😊👍
Take care and have a great weekend!
@@Mikefestiva thanks Mike appreciate the feedback
Now that you have this new cutter which would you recommend for someone who is building their own cnc table.
Well I have both, water and down draft,
My friend has a CNC and he doesn’t have ether, his table produces a lot of smoke and sparks, not really very good to be around.
Hey bud, nicely done ✔️ mt
