OK so I just tried this..and am very impressed. I made,a pastrami and cheese roll up sandwich with mine. It is.very soft and not.dry.like bought tortillas. I like it and it held.up better than the store.bought.ones..didn't crack, break, or tear! I'm making your refried beans this weekend for.some burritos. I will.try putting the batter.in a squeeze bottle t even easier.to make.
Hi LaRee I stumbled on your channel while trying to find a sourdough without measuring. I made sourdough a few years back very successfully but the measuring is not my thing so I lost interest 😊 I have my starter going again now using your method now, and back then each morning I'd pour my discard (nothing else).into a hot pan and top while cooking with green onion and salt. Delicious I'll definitely try these. Im so glad I found your channel and blog for all the ways to use my discard. I've moved house and now have a small veggie patch and planted two apple trees. Growing and making my own food is definitely a passion of mine, and I love sharing it with my friends 😊
Made these tortillas up today, for the first time. And they're great! Had a bunch of discard to use up, and this was perfect. Excited to continue adding them to our meals. Thank you for sharing this idea.
I looked up porable.sourdough tortillas and found your channel. Can't wait to try these. BTW I soak my beans overnight, sometimes.2/days. They cook in 9 to 10 minutes in the instapot..and less gas.
@@1Ggirl1959 welcome, glad to have you following along. Yes, I like to soak my beans for a couple of days as well when I have time and get them to where they are almost sprouting if possible.😀
@@1Ggirl1959 if they are fresh, then yes. You could also put a couple of eggs in the batter to help with that. I find that they stay together for the most part.
Looks great 👍🏼. I want to try those tortillas 😊❤👍🏼

Hi there! What do you think about adding some cornmeal to the batter for a more southwest flavor?
@@jjwelderman you sure could, I’m sure it would be fine!
Do they hold together well when wrapping? I noticed when you lifted.one .up it was tearing slightly.

Looks like my pancakes.
Yes, some pancakes are flatter like these tortillas. I like my pancakes fluffier, but you certainly could make them this way. I bet yours are amazing!
