Julio, it was by far our favorite part of the trip. They still talk about it today! We hope it leaves a lasting impact on them.

The second-best thing I have eaten was a chicken breast with a verde mole. Served on the main plaza. I am returning to Merida the first week of March. Love the city.

I'm from Yucatan but I live in Portland Oregon I always missed Yucatecan food but when my mother visits me she always makes me panuchos salbutes and other things and this video reminds me how tasty it is 😁😄

Edgar! The Yucatan was a special place. We were so happy to visit. We fell in love with Mérida. The people were just sooo nice! And yes the Panuchos ad salbutes were also sooo nice! Have you been back to the Yucatan to visit much?

Hi, What's popping, what's the name of the Family restaurant where you eat that delicious food? How can I found It on Google maps? Ohh yeah and the cochinita you ate on a market? What't the name of that market? Anyway this was a good video, greetings 👍 from CDMX

Hey Carlos- Maiz Canela y Cilantro in Merida you will see the family restaurant! For the cochinita there is a link in the description of the video. It should lead you right to it on the maps. Thanks so much for the comment! You live in Mexico City!? That is awesome. We had a blast there. I hope you enjoy your trip to Merida!

Were there any moments you felt unsafe? I would love to go (I mean, look at that food!!!) but the kidnapping, shootings, spiders etc, kinda scares me 🙁

Hanneke, honestly we drove through Mexico in a van for 4 months with our two kids and felt safe. We were cautious, took main roads and traveled during the day, but we definitely felt safe. We felt really really save in Merida. I would say throughout our time in Mexico we felt the best in Merida. The people there were so so friendly to tourist. They really appreciated you being there and wanted to share their culture with you. We highly recommend visiting! Happy to answer any other questions! 🇲🇽 Thanks for the comment and the support!

My first time visiting the Yucatan peninsula. we travelled between cities by bus and never felt unsafe ...the locals were friendly, helpful and apart from a few scam attempts in Tulum everyone else was honest and helpful!! Recommend..don't let fear limit you!!
