Just mark the zero spot before taking the needle off, with that way you can get the preload correctly for the speedo and rpm gauge. I recommend adding 2 sided tape also to the gauge faces. To get the temp and gas gauge to show correctly, there is a thread at Supraforums made by Stu Hagen, it is about speedo repair and calibration. There is tutorial how to get the needle motors to correct positions with just a correct ohm rated resistor and 12V. That way you can just put it to full position and it will be correct. To get speedo show correctly with new higher km/h one, you can just change one resistor to get it matched. 340km/h is the easiest one as it directly uses the same resistor as regular 180mph gauge (6.8K ohm)
Awesome info! That’s a good way so you won’t need to hassle later on without the transparant bezel. I would like to add a word of caution, since the ink is on the back side of the gauge faces, double sided tape is not adviced. They might damage the ink when replacing/moving them. Thanks for the tips!
Inject 100hz signal to the gauges. Put the Tach at 2k RPM. Put the speedo at 142 km/h. Use a potentiometer to mark the stock position s of the temp and fuel and insert them accordingly. That's it.
Thanks! I don’t have the auto-part in my cluster so i can’t showcase that, but i can send you some pictures/video if you send me an e-mail at mkivsupraclub@gmail.com ! Thanks for the support
You’ll need to add a speed converter. 4 wires, easy to install. You can select you need one when you order at www.hayaiautoparts.com If you have any questions/pics you can reach me at mkivsupraclub@gmail.com buddy
I’d love to know this too. Unless calibrated there’s only a few gauge faces that I can see working correctly. Would be keen to know prices though as I’d be keen on the 200km/h variant as that looks like it lines up with the stock design.
Hi there! I haven’t seen the response. > pricing: 150€ + shipping/paypal. Please email me at mkivsupraclub@gmail.com to order. > calibrating gauges: Gas needle - take note of gas gauge before removal. - place back with car turned on at same spot. Water needle: - Let car warm up and place at halfway point Tacho: Let car warm up and place at 750-800 RPM mark. Speedo: - drive with gps on, let’s say 50kmh on an empty road, and let a friend (or yourself) insert needle at 50kmh mark. Safer way to install speedo/tacho: - when removing, pull needle over the stopper and note down where it is in resting position. - with replacing, put back at this position and pull over the needle stopper. This should give the correct spring load as well.
Swapping my jdm supra from auto to manual. Can I just buy manual faces to cover up the only automatic part? It also has an analog odo on the speedo face. Do you make a face for models like mine?
Hi there! You can swap the tacho out for a manual one, and remove the little light assembly so they don’t light up anymore. They’re clicked in. To make sure you don’t have colour difference in your gauges i would recommend to swap them all out at the same time. You can order a facelift set at www.hayaiautoparts.com Thanks Liam!
Since now I make them for auto’s as well :) if you’d be keen please send an e-mail to mkivsupraclub@gmail.com or go to hayaiautoparts.com and you can purchase them directly!

Hello, I have a question, how do you calibrate from km / h to mph? for the ODO needle to mark the right thing ...... ???
That’s a tough one, i think best is to go from a 180 kmh to 110 mph face so no calibration is needed. Hope this helps.
@@MKIVSupraClubNL but in this case if the speedometer I want to set it to 180 Mph? How would he mark the correct thing in miles ???
I think in that case it’s smarter to buy the correct unit or find a speed signal converter kmh > mph.
What wheels are those on your supra? If you don't mind me asking.
These are XXR 555’s. On fitment industries i posted the specs, google ‘xxr 555 supra’ and i’m sure you’ll come across it
@@MKIVSupraClubNL sweet! Thanks man. Love your content, keep it going 👍🏻
How much is a kit with new faces?
150€ + shipping. You can find the for sale post on most supra groups on fb, please message me :)
Do you also make these for autos?
I’m sorry, none show the gear indication :(
Since now I make them for auto’s as well :) if you’d be keen please send an e-mail to mkivsupraclub@gmail.com or go to hayaiautoparts.com and you can purchase them directly!
Hi, i dont have a Facebook and i am interested
Please send an e-mail to mkivsupraclub@gmail.com and we’ll sort it for you!
reinstalling the needles while driving or the car is running seems like a major pain in the ass as well as easily done incorrectly
It’s honestly not that bad really, just don’t do it within traffic. On a countryroad going 30 is all it takes, 5 seconds and it’s in :)
And if done incorrectly, it is easy to redo. Don’t press them on hard, and they’re easily taken off. Repeat ‘till satisfied.
Tried this method 16 years ago. 6 attempts later and needle reads 10mph over. Stayed that way since as i ran out of patience 😂
Fair enough 😂 as i wanted to try all models on my car for testing i’ve done it several times and they’re alright
@@MKIVSupraClubNL clearly you are just better than me 😀
