    Remember being SO lost as to why you'd get wacky elements on your weapon?? 😅 Also a side note: It has been brought to my attention that the Weakened status from Puncture procs adds a 5% crit bonus against that enemy with your weapon (max 25%) as a final bonus. The primary effect is still the massive weakening for defensive purposes, and intentionally modding into puncture over something else is almost never a plan that will result in more damage output.

    u forgot that puncture adds 25% crit chance at 5 procs

      Not so much "forgot" as considered it generally irrelevant at best and harmful at worst. Status procs are determined by the split of your damage, and 25% additive crit chance is not enough to warrant weighting your damage to proc puncture, meaning if you are weighted toward something else it will rarely proc in comparison and thus becomes largely unreliable in damage assumptions and calculations. If it has something like a 5% proc chance total, hopefully your target will be long gone before it ever accumulates 5 procs. If it was final crit chance it might be relevant, but 25% additive crit chance on even a 30% base crit chance weapon is only an additional 7.5% crit chance total. Weighting for it would severely hurt your damage output.

      @@hardmerchandise i looked around and the crit chance is just like avenger but only on the enemy that has the puncture procs so its good for status/crit weaps that do puncture like gotva or opticor, and evensong that puts 7 on enemies in an aoe thats 35% crit chance even just 1 puncture proc reduces dmg enemies do by 40% is pretty nice bonus just for the occasional proc, but thats irrelevent u still should have added that into the video even if u thought it isnt worth it let ppl that watch it decide themselves

      @p.dwalker5757 I'm not trying to argue how you may feel about it's value, but the information listed is incorrect. Status procs add 5% crit chance, additive to weapon mods against a target per stack up to a maximum of 25% additive crit at 5 stacks. This crit buff only affects weapons damaging the enemy directly and does not affect abilities or effects (such as radial damage from a 10 stack blast explosion). Arcane Avenger is a valuable arcane because it is a direct final crit buff. For example a 30% crit weapon unmodded after 5 puncture procs will have a 37.5% crit chance against the affected enemy. The same weapon at 30% base crit after an Arcane Avenger proc will have 75% crit against that same enemy. That's a large difference. There are instances where one may intentionally mod for puncture, such as a Latron Incarnon due to its perks, but as those instances are based more off the weapon than the status itself, I opted to give a rough overview of the value of the proc, as the additional damage it provides on the majority of loadouts is quite literally unnoticeable.
      There will be more information regarding how additive calculations in Warframe work in the next video in this series which focuses on that kind of thing. Hope this helps!

      @@hardmerchandisethe crit chance from puncture status is basicaly 25% after mods thekengineer did a video on the rework so if u have modded 75% cc u will see yellow crits if they have 5 puncture stats on them, u can test it with evensong its pretty easy with it adding 7 procs on hits

      @@p.dwalker5757 did some further digging and it seems the Wiki has it listed as both an additive bonus under the status proc itself and a final multiplier under the section of absolute bonuses within the crit chance area, and the community seems fairly confused about it as a whole. Interesting. I did some further testing on a few different weapons and I will hold to the fact that it is still almost never worth modding into, but I will note in the description and the pinned comment that it additionally adds 5% chance per stack up to 25%, as it may be relevant in enough situations to warrant a mention. Thanks for bringing this to my attention.

    Wouldn't playing with randoms sometimes mess up our elements then, if they buff us?

    • @hardmerchandise
      @hardmerchandise  25 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @lastsentinel20 unfortunately yes. If a volt teammate gives you an electric buff and you were running pure toxin, you will now be running corrosive.
