I hope you enjoy this battle of the Night Lich from the Bosses of Mass Destruction, and the first quest boss in Void's Invasion.
I watched another video of the Night Lich fight and the player was so OP, it was over in about 30 seconds. Not here.
I'll tell you what, don't attempt this until you can one-shot phantoms ;)
Why phantoms are been different islands in minecraft? And did you use imagining dice? I think you will make a phantom portal in this modpack maybe.
One shot phantoms is a really good tip for people who want a challenge but don’t want to be under prepared.
When I fought it I was way over prepared but it took me forever to beat him 🤣

Whats that crossbow you’re using?
I enjoy that he doesn't speak loud or scream when fighting bosses and the music doesn't drown him out. I also like that he shows us how to use a certain mod while playing the mod pack making it quick, straight to the point and it doesn't just drag on 5 episodes being cooped up at the base

Great video! I'm really enjoying the series so far. The fact that you take your time and explain/show things in detail is super cool. I notice you always turn off rainy weather though, which I find somewhat unfortunate, since I really would like to see that part of the game too. The rain would be atmospheric and immersive, I suppose. But regardless of that I hope you continue posting videos on this series. It's noticeable that you spend a lot of time and effort on them and I really appreciate that.

I do love teaching and doing tutorial content is more my thing. So RPG gameplay is a bit out of my comfort zone. Tech videos are coming up though!

I do really appreciate this series you voice is sooo smooth, you take your time to explain everything you make and I really like it. When I see other TH-camrs who just yell all the time and talk very fast. It's so much more relaxing and enjoyable to listen to chill dude like you !

(Tiny montage idea : victory music when you beat the boss would be more rewarding for the viewer 'cause going from epic battle music to nothing after your win is kinda underwhelming or confusing when you just only listen to it)

if you want to fight a Mass boss again make a Brimstone Nectar to reset the nearby structure
yes! I never needed to do that, but I think there's another comment in here where someone lost the lich and looked into that. Brimstone nectar is expensive though, isn't it?

Not sure if it'll reset it if the boss is currently spawned though. I mean, it'd really suck if it spawned a king and the old one stopped by to say hi
@@marinesct ha yeah you’d end up with two boss bars probably. Maybe one would hit the other and fight it out like skeletons 😂
Why dont you use shield in this modpack? Maybe you can make a mirror shield in this modpack. Mirror shield maybe can throw back these lich fireballs.
Archers and Wizards don’t use shields! And my sword is two handed.
Even so I’m not a big shield user. But yeah probably could have helped against those lich-bombs!
have you tried using the umbrella trinket? it has unlimited slow falling as long as you hold it, but also woks as an unbreakable shield@@jangrogames
what is your version ? Prominence II Classic or Prominence II RPG ? i dont see a structure for this boss :/
I'm playing Prominence II RPG though the Bosses of Mass Destruction mod is in both, so the night lich and its tower should be in either version. You mean you can't find one with soul stars? maybe travel far away via the Nether and try again?

The way I understand it, they eat Chupacabra meat. I have got revenge on the Chupacabra since one killed me in a previous episode though I haven't had a chance to try it out yet!
What’s the crossbow and armour that you’re using?
I've been wracking my brain all day for which bow it is and I can't remember the name. I don't have that server running right now. When I can get in, I'll check!

How do get so good enchants in the enchanting table? I only get sharp 2 with level 30 :(
Look into the Zephyr mod. It's got lots of ways to upgrade the enchanting table so you get better, more rare, and higher level enchants. It's pretty involved, so you'll need to reed the in-game book.
Playing a combat modpack while not using a lot of the combat mechanics is rough, confirmed. You beat the floaty skeleton, though, so congrats. You're putting out a bunch of videos, so it seems like you're enjoying the pack. What's next for Jangro the Accidental Archer?
What am I not doing other than rolling? Not sure I could have rolled much up to my waist in water!

Hey! I pretty much always use Complimentary Reimagined, which is what this is.
yeah this boss is actually impossible in multiplayer
any server that runs this modpack is laggy AF, which makes him sort of stutter arround in the sky, making it impossible to hit with a arrows, and due to hit nature you can't melee either
What server? One of the official ones?
I recorded this series on a server and never had issues, though if you are specifically talking about this fight in multiplayer, I didn’t do that obviously!
well me and freind try do this boss he pushed me into a cave now we cant seem find him it seems we buged him out

This happened to someone else in my Discord. Not sure of the resolution. I'm guessing it flew up really high.
There's apparently something called brimstone nectar that resets Bosses of Mass destruction bosses. I guess you right click that in the tower.
@@jangrogames is says i need dragons breath to craft it. not sure how i can get it since every time i use a eye on ender it says it doesn't want to work.
@@BananaJesus3 oh wow that’s expensive. This pack has the End Remastered mod in it, which requires different eyes. Check out ep 14 for that.

In my experience, sometimes this just happens. If you beat him, you can force the completion with this command:
/ftbquests change_progress complete (quest ID which you can see by holding F1 over the quest I think)

This fight really frusterated me and I came to youtube to see how other people did it. Basically the same. Mine was also in an ocean and really damn annoying, it floats to far away to use ANY weapon except bows so any prep or stats that wasnt into archer was pointless
yes! An ocean fight and no ranged would make this pretty much impossible. Unless you're later game and can fly, and there's not much for flight in this pack other than Elytra. Hope you got through it!

This is one of the WORST modded bosses I've ever had the displeasure of fighting. SERIOUSLY. Almost broke my enchanted diamond helmet in the FIRST PHASE. It's CONSTANTLY moving making it basically a one in a million chance to even hit it ONCE. And it HEALS. Do you have anymore advice? This boss almost makes me want to quit my Prominence II world.
Since it’s the first, it’s possible to try too early I guess. I leveled up archery skills so I did good crossbow damage. Still took a long time! Just keep at it. Every boss is like that!
@@jangrogames Thanks for your tips! I defeated the boss today. I used the Quick Bow from the Minecells mod to defeat him. The Quick Bow fires like a machine gun and has infinite arrows. It also never breaks! It does some low damage though, but with how quick it is, the damage can stack up. The fight was long and grueling but at the end I defeated him. Thanks again for your help!

@@jangrogames Yeah! I think it got added in Minecell's new update. They added 2 more locations besides the Promenade of the Condemned, Prison Quarters, and the Insufferable Crypt. These locations are called the "Ramparts" and the "Black Bridge." The Black Bridge even has a new boss known as the "Concierge." Pretty sure you can find the Quick Bow in the chests in the basement of buildings in the Promenade of the Condemned. You can find lifts in buildings leading to these new areas.
