Thanks for the video. My pilot hood was so bad, I had to replace it but the pilot flame is blue and very still low as yours has shown. I also tried to adjust the pilot flame screw and had no effect. The last step is to replace the LP orifice. Would love your thoughts on this too, thanks!
It's worth a shot to change the LP orifice. Also, sometimes the flame is low because there's not enough oxygen. This can be due to logs being installed incorrectly or debris in the intake. It is also worth checking the gas pressure at the fireplace. Well, thanks for watching
I have an older system. My pilot light lights up properly after I press in the gas knob and manually light it. However, once I release the gas knob, the pilot light goes out regardless of how long I hold the gas knob in. Any thoughts?
Ok. What did you soak your pilot light in cause that's obviously 2 different pilots if you didn't soak it..the original one was super tarnished and the after one was nice and shiny :)
It's 100 percent the same pilot light. It is still the original from when i bought the gas fireplace. The wire brush does an amazing job. I did spend more time scrubbing with the wire brush than what was shown. No one wants to watch a 20-minute video that can be shown in 5 minutes. Im very honest with my viewers in all my videos.... The only time i joked around was when i pressure washed leaves off the lawn but quickly showed i own a leaf blower. Well, thanks for watching
Thank you Mr. Rogers, this was really helpful.

I have the same problem
Have you changed out the thermocouple? That can also be a common issue
Are pilot lights turned on all year round?
Nope.... the napoleon elevation fireplace pilot light only comes on when you turn the fireplace on.
