Good one Rob. Power and grounds along with voltage drop. Never heard of some of these vehicles. Thanks for sharing 👍

Like the one in this video for starters Rob but then again back in the day you could just look at a car and were able tell the model the year the engine and all its options. Guess time marches on. Still enjoy your videos and your approach to fixing them. 👍

I have a 2002 Suzuki Aerio. It has an intermittent (almost 50-50) no crank no start problem.
I know for sure that it is because the solenoid mounted on the starter does not energize when I turn the ignition key. This video helps at least by stating that this car does not have a start relay.
I now have it wired to start by a push button near the engine (mounted inside a metal can to prevent undesired contact). The hot goes directly onto the solenoid of the starter. This way it always starts. This shows that the starter and the solenoid are both good. It is the circuit the energizes the solenoid from the ignition that is faulty. Yes, when it doesn't start by the key I have to open the hood to start. This can be dangerous if I left the transmission in one of the engaged positions. I aways check and always pull the parking brake on when I start from the hood.
It is an intermittent problem. I believe it is either the ignition switch, the wiring in the start circuit, or the transmission position switch that is defective.
I have taken the transmission position switch out, opened it, and cleaned it. I think I will mess with the transmission position switch more by varying the slight position allowance on mounting to see if the frequency of staring by key can be increased.
This car has 143K miles but the powertrain still runs quite well and the steering is tight. It is almost still fun to drive it. It could go another 75K miles or more, so I hate to ditch it.
