He want to win to make money and gain ranking points. Like every other tennis player. So booing him for doing his job basically is imbecilic.
Just like the US crowd and Serena did for Osaka? Gotcha
@@russdy1982 that was a bit different. They were booing over a call not booing Osaka. And then Serena told them to stop.
One other thing. I love how you can’t actually find highlights of this match anywhere on TH-cam. Just this part lol they don’t want to see how justified Fritz’s response is to the crowd given how unsportsmanlike they were over the course of the entire match
FRITZ was brave and patient : BRAVOOOOO
What incredible poise, class and self-control! I've admired Taylor's athleticism and intelligence for a while, but the restraint he showed today elevates him to an exalted level - that of a sportsman and a mensch. Proud of you, Taylor, and disgusted by the RG mob in the stands. Now go win your next match!
honestly the FO crowd are the worst 🤣
Wimbledon tops them anytime.
Ao sometimes is brutal
@@cristianconstantinescu7264 No not at all they are too civilised to behave like this
@@DamiiStyleao is the best, then uso, then french, then wimby
By far
brave to do what!??!!! His actions are natural. Fritz is amazing and the crowd should show some respect and appreciation. Way to go Taylor 😊
Commentator was saying like, Fritz will need to apologize later?? WTF...Shameless crowd would need to apologize, not Fritz. But I dont think they have brain capacity for that
EPIC moment give us Fritz LOL The best until now in the tournament!
Great speech by Taylor...funny and sarcastic and dry at the same time..Love it.thats the way to get back at an unruly rude crowd..by killing them with compliments lol
I'm NOW an official Taylor Fritz fan!!!
I attended a Rublev vs Moutet match and the atmosphere was so tough for non-french player. Im not surprised it provoked Fritz to do this
And yet Rublev had more dignity after all. One would expect a hotheaded would loose it, not someone who looks a bit asleep all the time.
@@Juliadicaya There is dignity in equal measures in both behaviors. One simply decided to show his resentment openly while the other didn't
Taylor, you have won a new fan in me !!! Let’s go !!! I loved this !
he should just have left when they did not let him speak
yes but his response was gold!
No please ! He was thinking of what masterclass he would say
Yes, I was thinking the same thing. He was well within his rights there to walk off without doing the interview and not get fined. Why should he have to stand there and be abused in order to not get fined
@@spongybone4071 The crowd wanted him to leave. He's a legend now for standing there and waiting. And of course for what he said 👍
The French got their revenge today after Fritz was disciplined in 4 sets by Ceŕundolo.
Oh, dear Taylor, great man, such a character!!! Remaining calm and friendly!
I'm french and i'm very ashamed. Love you T. You're the man.
I love the cynical comment from Fritz 😂
I was at a bar watching Argentina vs France World Cup Final. Every single person was cheering for Argentina. Nobody wanted France to win
Rinderknech going on court after was cringe. He lost 😂
No, it was cool, the heart shape he wanted to say thank you to the horde
Exactly. He stole the moment from Fritz. Ugh!
You can be thankfull for the cheering and the athmosphere of the crowd, even if you lost....
Especially if you are a borderline top 100 player and don't usually play in such a big stadium with that much crowd support
He was thanking the crowd for supporting him
@@danicadabic9789 Fritz won the match. Period. Too bad for the woke crowd.
And that's why Roland Garros will be never as Wimbledon or the US OPEN.
Starting to hate the French crowd
They’ve always been the worst crowd
Horrible nation
Its the same everywhere, have you ever seen the serbian crowd when djoko plays a foreigner ?
@@macaque791 Nah, the French get butthurt to a whole new level.
@@Rosario_Verano let's pretend nationalism only exist in France
Starting to? They have always been this horrible.
I'm french and still every year i feel embarrassed by french public's behaviour very ashamed ...
I was rooting for Novak but now I hope Taylor wins the whole thing. Worst crowd ever.
I wish Novak would have had the chance to play a French player, so he would show the crowd how to behave. And steam-roll the French player in the process.
Like the serbian crowd does not exactly the same when a serbian plays a foreigner 😂
@@macaque791 No, they do not mate.
They cheer like crazy, but never booe like this.
Everyone hates the french for a reason ya know
@@pistolpetetc never boo ? No way you are serious
@@macaque791 Now I didn't say this did I?
They never booe foreign players like THIS.
We are a VERY hospitable people, as opposed to the french.
The french suck.
Too many ppl have zero culture about tennis, they think they are at a football match. Is non fair-play for instance to even cheer at the adversary of your favorite player when he does an unforced error. So TF 's reaction perfectly justified after all the non fair-play crap he took all along. Nice from Marion that she went near him just in case.
Go Fritz! Piss them off harder! Such unruly crowd deserves nothing better. I thought the crowd in Rome Masters was crazy. This is another level.
Oh, man.
The French.
Reminds me of how they treated Serena in her earlier years.
I work in a few French schools, and let me tell you, the first year most of them were pretty cold to me.
I decided to learn French, and now they love me.
Taylor, get on DuoLingo, immediately!
Fritz shouldnt fear RG crowd. Go Fritz!!!
Nicely handled from Fritz. The crowd actually helped him to win with their cheering. That`s how it`s done.
Shhhhhhhhhh
The crowd is free to support their player obviously, however just don't hinder the other player. Fritz's actions were definitely justified here. Nice job Fritz, keep going.
Let’s go Fritz! Loved every second of it!
I found myself cheering with the crowd during Gael Monfil's comeback from being down 0-4 in the 5th set earlier in the tournament but in that match they were just cheering for Monfil's winners. In this match they are trying to disrupt Taylor's play - totally crossing the line, inexcusable behavior
Normaly i dont support american athletes but fritz is a king right here! The croud was so great 😂
Seems to be you are a racist.
Fritz was always one of my fav players but this has definitely moved him up a few spots
Well done Fritz! I'm so proud of you! Play on!!! Hope now you win the title! 🙏🏾😊💚
Yessss! Loved and here for it! Someone should’ve done it sooner!!
If I were Fritz, I will leave without attending the interview
No he did good by staying there, showing them a little longer who the losers were.
Chicken
Fritz, i love you man. You show true sportmenship. This is beyond sport. You come to Paris to compete. Even when you are not treat well. Like i said, i love you what you do for tennis.
Disrespectful French crowd Vs bravery
Fritz was 8th ranking and the french 78th, there is no bravery from Fritz
@@bayard1524 bravery to shut this shitty country yes 😂😂
@@bayard1524 his bravery is not in his ranking. It’s in his attitude towards that hysterical crowd.
@@bayard1524 The French people must not have known how shitty their countryman is at tennis in that case.
@@Vatan1871 best crowd ever
Fritz my new hero!!! And I’m French 😂
I feel sorry for Taylor. He's doing great and perhaps from here on out he just lets his playing speak for itself.
You go taylor, this is not the first time that the crowd has done this great win.
Who does fritz play next?? Never seen this kind of booing for that long,🤣
Frenchy here. Taylor was clever. The crowd was not. 🇺🇸🇫🇷💪
What a proud French crowd!! Rinderknech should have gone out after restrained the crowd.
C'est un champion. La différence entre spectateurs et acteurs. 😅
What a shame, I am french and I'm shocked by the public behaviour, unfortunately it shows exactly the french mentality...not very fair !!!
My Taylor is rich 😊 As a French I just can say that now Fritz is one of my favorite tennis players 😍
Fritz should be like this more often. Sometimes I think he is so boring but seeing him shush the crowd is so funny. Good for him.
All that was missing was a line out of the gladiator - "Are you not entertained?"
😂😂😂
Remember Sharapova 2006 RG vs Safina (and vs the french crowd) yelling at them during the match "ALLEZ UP YOUR ASS". The French crowd is the rudest and most distasteful in all of tennis.
As a Frenchman, I can say that the French Roland Garros crowd is one of the worst in the world. At the end I was glad to see Fritz win.
I wasn't a fan of Fritz until now...but he became one of my favourite tbh. As a french I love the way he answered to this awful crowd...I hope he'll go far in this FO...LFG Taylor 💪💪
Wow, that booing was NOT cool. What the heck!!? No one deserves this. Marion was embarrassed. I am so sorry Fritz had to go through this just because he won an incredible match.
I was there at the S Lenglen stadium. Fritz kept his calm throughout the match despite barbaric crowd cheered on his mistakes and disturbed him between 1. and 2. serve. He gave the crowd what it deserved. Shush 🤫 and knocked the last frog 🐸 out. 40 years of drought and counting…
I cannot wait to see Frits play at Shushing Meadows 🇺🇲
