    Man, such a fun episode, Raz was a great guest and Monte and Raz made it really fun and analytical in simpler ways plebs understand (just as he used to do in OGN). Raz possessing Monte was so funny. Monte still has great analysis, sadly people stopped appreciating how a great of an analyst he is. People like him and Deficio actually still got it. I hope Deficio will also guest in one of the future LEC episodes, he was such a great guest.

    That one fight toplane in game 3 vs. TL was also caused by Blaber overstepping when the rest of the team was retreating, that wasn't a planned or great fight by C9, they just got lucky that Goredrinker + Xin R is so busted so that Blaber wasn't insta-killed...

    Fun fact: TSM didn’t go to worlds for 2 years (2018-2019), and c9 didn’t go to worlds last year (2020) and could possibly miss worlds this year.

    I think Max Waldo and VeigarV2 have less impact than some people think. From the little insight we got, they work with individual players on laning and some fundamentals, but the overall game is still dictated by the players, which is why there seems to be alot of conflict about how to play.

  • @jaspersuh
    @jaspersuh 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    I would agree with them related to LCK comment for year 2019 and 2020. This year however if you look at current top four teams they are not like what they are describing at all. NS and SB fight constantly and attack sidelines all the time. Both teams skirmish extremely well. Same with the current T1. They are super proactive in the early game and their mid game macro has been super good. DWG there’s not much to be said. Even teams like afreeca if you actually watch their game are coming around. I think it’s pretty evident that Thorin and monte haven’t really watched LCK recently because the changes at the top of LCK is definitely happening to adjust to the current way LOL is being played.

    How is it that the logic always changes, but the conclusion is always: "TSM will lose"? If TSM is sucking, then we should go by current form and TSM will lose. If others are sucking, you must assume that they will improve and TSM will lose. If we're thinking international, then obviously you can assume that because of their *playstyle* (insert any possible playstyle there) TSM will lose. If TSM isn't playing at all, they will probably lose as well.

Then played a ton of games in a meaningless regular season just to get top 8 while they didn't even let him wear a cap to not get blinded by lights. Ziggs isnt a stupid strat. 3 lanes, 2 jungle sections. I have played since the s1, hit master a while back (casual player), was an analyst with elementz eu / aka clg eu in worlds 3. The assumption and illusion of the "meta" is based on complexity theory (think qwerty key boards). Meaning, the early meta of the game tank, mage, adc, support, jungle is not real. Optimal play, is 3 strong lanes, 2 jungles. You see it with support as a jungler type (shen/trundle) control mage mid/adc mage type, melee jungler and safe sustained or top. 3 safe type lanes and 2 supports. funnel money to the win condition. That is the game. The true evolution of League would be 100% battle in the jungles. Think of the power of level ones. The entire game can be decided.

      This didnt age well did it? TSM were working together better than the other teams but if you just compare players they are just worse in most roles and have an over all lower ceiling. It also helped them massively that the 2 finalists in spring both had issues and played with subs for a while. I wouldnt mind having seen TSM go to worlds again because im pretty sure they would go 0-6 again unless they dodge the eu 3rd seed and get a wildcard instead. TSM simply doesnt have the highs it takes to beat the other worlds teams. The team has weaker components than last year with arguably harder seeding.

      Did you forget what happened in spring? TSM also won every game and got destroyed in playoffs. Regular season best of 1s are different from bo5. Teams will actively try new things in regular season if they are confident in getting to playoffs regardless.

    TL should get an ADC import for next season, Viper is a free agent and has a good level of English.

      Why would Viper want to leave the LPL to come to NA? He's nowhere close to retiring.

    Raz should stick to commenting on the game and stop making political statements or dispensing healthcare advice in the middle of his analyst bits on the LCS when he's not a doctor, then i'd actually like him.

      @Peter P Wrong on both counts i'm afraid, you didn't even guess the correct continent for my nationality and as for ignorance, well i imagine one of us knows a whole lot about MRNA vaccines and the effectiveness (or rather lack thereof) and dangers of them, and one of us just took it "cuz the guy on the TV said so". You can make your own judgements on which one of those constitutes ignorance. Either way my point still stands, the dumbass who's job is to comment on which video game team plays the game to a higher standard certainly isn't a health expert, so he should just shut up about it.

    The premise that a game - where you need to have like 3 to 4 precise clicks per second to have good movement, while obviously also precisely aiming skillshots or targeting opponents, while _also_ having good camera movement - was inherently inferior on a mechanical level to moving with WASD is absolutely moronic...
    In that case why can't CS:GO players just pick up league and have JJKing/Faker/Chovy/Rookie/Uzi level mechanics? And how can Thorin know the aforementioned players and still believe that League doesn't have a high mechanical skill ceiling? Sure, the game has a low mechanical skill floor - you just need to click around...but so do ego shooters. Any 6 year old can move around using WASD and press left click to shoot at where the cursor is...they'd just suck at it. Just how mechanically non-proficient players suck at league on a micro level.
    I even know someone who plays competitively on a semi pro level in CS:GO and is supposedly (from what I've heard) one of the better mechanical players in that skill bracket and he's also played league (quite extensively) for years - yet is "only" Diamond (peaked high D2 in S3 - before master etc was a thing) and his mechanics aren't even his forte. His League mechanics are average at best for a diamond player. He even says himself that he isn't mechanically good in league.

      @@sneauxday7002 yeah that's pretty much the infantile attitude I'd expect from people who don't get what I'm saying/aren't proficient in both games and don't have a clue what they're talking about. But sure, makes sense to side with Thorin. If I had never played League, I'd definitely trust a low elo silver player, like Thorin, to be an expert on the game's mechanical skill ceiling /s
