    In this video I’m driving up to the Gavia Pass in Italy. It was a cold sunny day with amazing views, it was hard to focus to the road. Gavia Pass is a high mountain pass in the Italian Alps. It is the tenth highest paved road in the Alps. The pass lies in the Lombardy region and divides the province of Sondrio to the north and the province of Brescia to the south.

      Gavia is an amazing pass. This year I was lucky to have great weather and see mountain tops already covered in snow. Unfortunately it was very windy up there and I was not able to do more drone captures ...

    man just listen to that clunking sound of the quick shifter on the up and down shifts. I thought it as just my 2023 GSX-S1000 GT Plus that did that. I don't even use the quick shifter on mine because of the clunking when I change gears.. and most of the time it doesn't work on the downshifts.
    Nice video for scenic view.

      I took one out for a test ride the other day and the quick shifts up and down were super smooth.

    • @helmtube
      @helmtube  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Quickshifter feels smooth thou. The sound in this video is maybe over saturated due to the position of the external sound recorder which I place under bikes seat. So it feels more "metal". Do you have any issues with QS on yours?

      Nothing wrong with mine, smoother than a room full of smooth things !!

      @helmtube the QS on mine is starting to feel better. It still has a lot of trouble on the down shifting. I don't use it much, but I'm trying. Old habits are hard to break. 30 plus years of using the clutch.... tuff to change.

    • @helmtube
      @helmtube  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@redhytech Old habits die hard ;) I just kind of developed a feeling when to use it and when not. So im shifting with a clutch and QS. I'm also owning a 2016 BMW GS where the gearbox is very rough, so whenever I'm on my Suzuki the gearbox there feels like butter anyways...

    Great vidio! I thinking when is he going to stop and get a hot cup of coffee.

    • @helmtube
      @helmtube  ปีที่แล้ว

      No coffee places open along the way :) Landscape is so beautiful that it's hard to focus on the road. I did take a long break on the top of the mountain.

    I also ride with one finger covering the clutch and the brakes .

    • @helmtube

      Honestly I'm not sure why I keep fingers on clutch :) I guess it's an old habit :)

    • @helmtube
      @helmtube  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You are absolutely right, I'm definitely not disappointed. Suzuki GSX-S 1000 GT is a great bike. I'm putting now on a top case to make it even more a tourer bike. Did you make any mods on it?

    • @greenbay6436
      @greenbay6436 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not yet but I want to where can I find mods at

      @@helmtube where can I find mods at

    • @helmtube
      @helmtube  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@greenbay6436 For the top case you have the following manufacturers producing top case mounting systems: Givi, Shad, Kappa and Hepco and Becker. I find Hepco & Becker visually the best solution. They also all sell top cases. For other mods I'm still searching. I've put on crash pads from ProBrake and honestly I don't think they will protect my bike much in case of crash :) I would also like to find a nice solution to mount (or otherwise store) my cell phone while driving. I want to use the MySpin for navigation and I don't want to have my phone mounted on handlebars.

    Could be a beautiful video, but music is bad and unnecessary. Sorry 😕

      Do you find the mix of music and motorbike engine disturbing?

    • @Malzagi
      @Malzagi ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@arnei23 It is not disturbing, just a shame that, because of music, you cannot hear engine sound. Otherwise, it is very nice video.

      Thank you, this is a good feedback. My next video will have pure engine sound, I promise 😉
