      hi @Mylife_playground. I'm using an external microphone, Zoom H1 which I place under the passengers seat. I put the wind foam over the recorder and wrap it into the bubble wrap so the device stays fixed and doesn't pick any rattling sounds.

    • @helmtube
      @helmtube 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @stefanomiglioranzi6 I've installed the Hepco & Becker Minirack, drilled some holes to it and on top of it I've installed the Shad SH44 top case. There are also other solution for top case holder but at the time of buying mine I didn't visually like any of them. The Hepco & Becker minirack is very solid made, build quality is top. The only downside might be that you have to remove the handgrips for passenger. Passenger can hold herself to Minirack but the grips are a bit too tight, or better said too close to seat itself. Ciao & enjoy your rides mate!

    • @helmtube
      @helmtube 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I use both clutch and QS, I have no specific rule when to use what. On some revs shifting feels smoother using the clutch and on other using QS does better job. I think each motorbike has this... Generally on higher revs QS is smoother and on lower revs clutch feels "the right" option. What do you guys think about that?

    Clunky shifting could be from the oil you run. I’ve had really smooth shifts from using oils like Motul 300V, Castrol Power 1, and Mobil 1. I find mineral and semi-synthetic oils don’t shift as smooth as full synthetic or double ester oils in various bikes I have owned.

    • @helmtube
      @helmtube 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I know that Suzuki put in semi-synthetic oil on my first service. I haven't tried Motul 300V on any of the bikes I've owned but I do believe is a great oil. I even noticed a difference when using Motul 7100 (ESTER) on one of my bikes.

    • @masterjim69
      @masterjim69 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@helmtube 300V is a double ester. Used by Yoshimura Suzuki Race Team. I'm running it in my ZX9R, an older bike. Motul claims up to 2.5hp increase on top in a four-cylinder bike. I can feel it. There's a guy on TH-cam with a 2014 Honda CBR1000RR who put 8500 miles on this oil and sent the used oil out for analysis. It was still good! I talked to the Motul rep and he said if you're not racing or doing track days or redlining a lot, 8500+ miles is fine. It is a higher quality oil. You get what you pay for. Basically the same as Silkolene Pro Series oil, which is used by California Superbike School. They are the most expensive oils but worth it.

The one I'm using on my GSX-S 1000 GT is "Bar Clamp Mount-C". Surprisingly the build quality of this one is/was really good.

    looks like you have been on this road a few times.. you seem to know where you need to slow down and use caution.

    • @helmtube
      @helmtube 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I know this road very well, I've been riding it many times. It's an awesome road with few sections where it's safer to ride a bit slower.

    not too wild about the ankle cam. it doesn't show much. great video. I would love to ride that road, look like an enjoyable ride. I also would like to say,,,, USE THE CLUTCH. sure the QS is nice but not for low RPMs. using the clutch will get rid of most of the 'clunky' shifts. use the QS when shifting above 3000 RPMs.

      Thanks! on this footage the bike was still pretty new to me and very different from my previous bike. Now after I did few thousand Kilometers with the bike I got much better feeling for when using the clutch and when the quickshifter. I love this bike more and more.

    i love the fact that you are using your phone and not the MySpin app for navigation.

    • @helmtube
      @helmtube 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I was looking forward using navigation on motorbikes TFT screen. But after some time I realized that Suzuki's implementation is very poor and not really functional. After I updated my iPhones IOS version I can't use Sygic App on motorbikes TFT screen anymore. It just keeps disconnecting. So a big disappointment here :( I hope Suzuki will release some software update soon, otherwise they should stop promoting this crap :/

    • @redhytech
      @redhytech 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      yeah, I have a Samsung S22, it wont connect either. Suzuki FAILED big time with the MySpin garbage. most cars have a NAV system now days and they don't use cell phones to work. why can't motorcycles use that? @@helmtube

    • @helmtube
      @helmtube 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@redhytech To me it just feels that every manufacturer wants earn some extra money with their own implementation of entertainment and navigation software these days. Most of them produce a crap at the end and are just a disappointment for users. Same with Suzuki ... why don't they focus on producing motorcycles, what they do very good and leave software to companies that have done that already and have tons of experience...

      @@hoihoihoi1951 I bought SP connect aluminium holder and SP connect phone case. What I like about it is that also when phone is not mounted to handlebars it still looks decent. I'm using 0.5m USB cable to charge my phone and I enjoy the navigation setup from the day 1. I can unfortunately not say the same for the Suzukis MySpin app, big disappointment for me ... :(

    rev when you downshift please 😖 not rev-matching is painful to hear

    • @helmtube
      @helmtube 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Shifting sound is probably a little bit saturated since the external sound recorder was placed under the seat and it picks up "metal" sounds quite loud. Using a clutch when downshifting is very smooth and you don't need to rev match on this GSX-S 1000 GT. I mostly downshift with quick-shifter so rev matching is not possible. Or? Do you rev match also when you use quick-shifter?

      I have a helmet chin mount. For me this produces the best view angle. Another benefit is "image stabilization" done by my neck :)
