Your right about Superside kicks soccer neo geo, me and my daughter play it and it great fun. I play it on my modded original xbox emulated, its to expensive to buy and collect for neo geo.

This game was great, we had it on our 386 back in the day - fast paced and super fun! Don't get it why people are complaining about the graphics, at least it had colors. We played a shitload of games in those ugly almost all purple 'ish CGA colors. The joys of being a PC gamer back in the day, I don't even recall having a soundblaster card when playing this, it was all just bleeps, bleeps and the occasional bleep. :-) Some recent indy gems have similar graphics... Gameplay will always be the first and foremost important aspect of a videogame, it makes or breaks the whole experience imo! You should play Sensible World Of Soccer on Amiga....the Genesis one is ok;but the Amiga SWOS is one of the best games ever made :) Been playing it daily for like 25 years, and I still improve ad see new stuff :)

Yeah, its not bad, but it lacks the pass aftertouch and the joystick control, which can be adressed if you own a decent joystick for the MD, although i am not aware of a truly decent microswitched one like the ones you can find for home computers. Moreover, it has poorer sound, far less teams than in SWOS and freaking music in game
You should also try Football Glory on the Amiga. You get streakers on the pitch and can run away from the ref if he tries to give you a yellow card. Its not as good as Sensi but its frikin hilarious
Isn't it weird, the EU Mega Drive can play US or Japanese games (with the aid of a nail file) but the Genesis will not play Mega Drive games. I don't believe the Amiga version had music in the game. I can't be bothered to check right now but I think it would detract from the seriousness and concentration required when playing this game.
Needs more players with union suits and bowler hats, sitting around a gazebo and having tea and crumpets, to be even considered worth of the title 'Sensible'. Throw in a couple of rocket launchers, tanks and A10s in there and call it *Strike Team Soccer* instead! But this game is awesome, though, probably the only football game I can stomach playing.
Ya can't live SENSIBLY... without SENSIBLE Soccer in your collection. I mean on one of the European teams there's a player named D. Semen, just for shits n giggles!
Like many unlicenced sports games, of course, this game has some close approximations to real people's names, but you still have to laugh at them having Gery Mcellister for Gary McAllister and Elly McCuist for Ally McCoist etc at least in the early Fifa games they use real made up names :) .
Common misconception, Holland is one of the provinces of the Netherlands, due to it being the main coastal province and indeed to most populous many people abroad call the whole of the Netherlands 'Holland'.
Ah good point yes you're correct :) forgot about the two of them. My friend who lives in Friesland actually told me off many years ago for using Holland for the whole of the country, ever since I have felt the need to correct anyone who states this 😀

The PC port of the sequel has been modded so folks can play in online leagues and stuff. Hella good game.
Sensible made a number of pretty good games. Canon Fodder, Parallax, Sim Brick and Sensible Startest are other good ones!

Good, but waaaaaay better on the Amiga!! The Amiga version played samples of 'real football chants' throughout the game. That just made it for me!!
Finally Sensible Soccer! But yes, if you think this is fun you should play Sensible World Of Soccer 96/97 on the Amiga. Its the best version ever made
