Same man my dad had a bunch of 911s throughout his life but the one I remember the most was a 1/2 custom speedster that he sold when I was super young ( I’m only 17). He always used to talk about how he would take his cars to track days with his friends, I always thought that his stories were awesome. We lost him last year and now that he’s gone I’ve become kind of obsessed with Porsche’s, I even managed to track down his speedster, hopefully one day I’ll be able to buy it back, but we’ll see...

The name “Targa”, was a tribute to one most beautiful races ever existed, the “Targa Florio”, which Porsche won many times in the ‘60s and ‘70s. I’d love an episode on the clash between Porsche, Ferrari and Alfa Romeo on the Sicilian circuit!!! Love the show, some genius stuff!

First off they are incredibly unreliable and blew head gaskets monthly. Second there is one generation. The only significant change across the short years it lived was a change from pop ups to sleek headlights. It doesn't exactly make for a good episode. Think before you talk.

I have a 2011 C4S. Love it. Its torque split lets me hang the back end out a bit, but keeps me from spinning out on the track. 385 horse power is enough to scare me. Maybe one day I'll get brave enough to try a turbo car.

My Aunt had a SICK 964 turbo back when I was in HS that she had tuned at a local Porsche tuning house. My few spirited freeway runs with her in that car is what started my lifelong love of sports cars and tuning.

It's the most legendary, fun to drive and awesome sports car in the world. The Benchmark, period. I am blessed to have owned 5 of the classic era and driven dozens of other 911 models. You never ever get the thrill you get with a 911 with any other car on the planet

Id never own another porsche but i owned a 73 rsr clone. I will say it had the best steering feel of any car ive ever owned. On the flip side the 4 piston calipers with no brake booster is scary as fuck.

I suppose I'm lowering the score to 45/10.
It's amazing how the 911 range for 2018 goes from 'about 100k' to 'about 300k'.
Because the GT1 is a parts bin prototype....... Not a road going 911 at all.
