I think it did ok all things considered. The very tip snapping off is a minor failure and something that could be easily reprofiled into a new tip or a chisel tip without too much effort. Thanks for sharing and Cheers!
It did well up until the very end when now it needs to be turned into a swiss army knife that has a scraper tip or flathead screwdriver....Overall a good buy just don't stress the tip....Nice testing at the PBKG compound....Good stuff...
I think the tip breaker wood was harder type wood. I claim that there are almost no knife blades that are flat ground or done in a way that you can use it for oridinary cutting like vegetables or slicing meat that can withstand this. Fighting daggers will withstand as they are thick spear blades. Maybe a really massive bowie or my extrema ratio with a 6mm blade. Still a not wonderful but acceptable 50 bucks knife.
what do you think caused the tip to snape? is it just poorly mixed/heat treated steel? or is d2 not hard enough to hit the steel caibent that many times?
I've been looking at this knife. But the question is, this is $60, or i can get a used K bar knife for the same price at my local pawn shop. Which one do you think would be the better buy?

I think it was a combination of d2 and the prying.
