Great test and battening!!!! Great knife!!!
Thanks brother! It was tuff enuff!
Fantastic! I am loving it!
I bought one and love it, not afraid to use it because of the price.
Exactly. Glad you like it brother!
Gonna be good! Watching now!
I finally got a chance to watch this video. You really pounded the heck out of that blade and it survived. Well done.
Thanks John!
I agree with you about D2 for a survival type knife , and the flat grind. I enjoy this your videos ! Your background shots remind me of home ! Lollol !
Thanks Mike. I think this knife beat me up more than I did it lol.
I watched DBK Bushcrafters test out the ColdSteel Learherneck D2 knife the other day and was amazing how much abuse their D2 can take. They chopped a brick and the rim of a 55 gallon drum and the blade was almost perfect. It withstood ridiculous abuse. Apparently, ColdSteel has a really good heat treat on their D2. Who knows if Lothar's heat treat is as good. Looks like an awesome knife.
It's been great so far jonnyboat2. Thanks for watching brother!
Good video. Like the review
I just purchased this same knife , thanks
Cool!
Next time, save a thin piece of wood a little thicker than the knife to use as a wedge after the knife is deep enough to leave a crack. Driive the wedge to follow the blade.
That's a good method for splitting but I wanted to test the toughness of the D2 instead.
The real question after all that testing is how the edge held up or if it dulled. Can you still shave with it afterwards? 🤔 (The ladies love that "Spruce" aftershave smell too!)
Yes it did. Yes I can. And yes they do!
At 7:45 that's a "faux" Carbon fiber weave pattern. I like the looks a lot, as well as your _hat_ which looks just like mine!? That a Barmah crushable leather hat?
You guessed it! Foldaway Bronco.
@@CommonCentsOutdoorsman are we somehow "related"? You're like a Carbon copy of me that should've been my Uncle!

That tip snaps like a toothpick, I returned mine it’s junk.
Oh man sorry to hear that Bill. Have you contacted the company?
