I am the same way. This is so beautiful 😢. I have a hard time accepting compliments and help but I give daily it's a part of who I am. That's why this brings me to tears because I know how truly grateful you are and the surprise that someone thought of you to do something for you without wanting anything in return. Thank you to the lady who did this for her. She deserves to know that she is worthy and seen as well. The biggest giving hearts God's supplies for us, but when we have strangers do things like this, it's a reminder that we are safe to keep being us. Thank you for letting God use you.
Wow!!!! This is beautiful! This is exactly what I was talking to God about last night. I honestly have to change this about myself. When I see others receive, I'm also so happy for them, but when I think of myself receiving, I feel like I don't deserve it. I know it's rooted in my low self-esteem and sense of self worth. I'm working on it, though. I'm trying to rest in this right now! Thank you so much for sharing this with me! 😊❤️
@@SheCanDoAllThings I know I discovered feeling this way after a bad separation as well as indirect things I was taught in my childhood about what makes a person worthy. I discovered it through journaling and therapy. My to-be husband left me after having our first child as the charge nurse. It hurt my self-worth and then I struggled with unexpected health issues. I pray you discover the root so you can pluck it and do away with it as I did. I still struggle but not nearly as much. Affirmations and mindfulness help me not go backward. You can do all things! If you can't do it it can't be done!

And I'm just now starting to figure out where it may have come from. I'm not completely over it, but I'm trying my best to push through the uncomfortable feeling that receiving brings me and I'm trying to change that with affirmations that "I am loved, I am deserving". Walmart gum boots are the best. I have worn mine for years in Maine snow and mud and rain. Not expensive and totally rubber.
You should be able to play music cd's on the dvd player as well as music. It will be great for rainy days.

Neem oil smells a little like onion but it will keep all the bugs away from you better than citronnella . No more black flies or mosquitos.

I use a magnet and duct tape it to the motion lights. I can move them to face the sun during the day to solar recharge. I love them! 😊

Your van is so cute so far. I'm so glad to hear you are settling in to vanlife and finding time for yourself. DVD players might be "outdated" to some, but sometimes its the simple things that work the best and I think its an amazing addition to the van. PLUS! DVD's are CHEAP now and don't cost a monthly fee to own. HA!

i have a game camera (Amazon) over my front door in my cabin conversion. they are not very expensive and run forever on batteries. they will be activated by motion at night also (black and white photos) and are great both with human predators and to know what animals roam around you at night and when you are not looking during the day (color). all photos are on a tiny storage chip. it converts to video also. so nothing can approach my door without getting a photo. so far my night roamers are a couple of raccoon, a rabbit, an anonymous little white dog, a deer and the neighbor's cat. if you ever need evidence of human intrusion they are invaluable.

For your solar motion sensor light, you can purchase Dollar Tree super magnet clips to put on your van. I saw another van life person use it. She said she forgot to take it off and ended up traveling with the lights attached, so she kept them on. They have been on her van for a year now, so hopefully Dollar Tree still have those magnets.

I have that same mini solar powerbank 11:59. I keep mine on the dashboard so it can charge anytime the sun is out. I love using the compass on the back of the powerbank while I'm hiking or anytime I'm driving in an unfamiliar area.

My son is thirteen and we always travel/road trip with his Nintendo Switch and DVD player... It really helps the time pass for him... He has a little thingy that connects to the front that allows him to watch it hands free...

if you get a game camera it might not work real well right next to the motion sensor lights ( i have the exact same ones all around my shed but over the door i have the camera instead). i would just put the camera out at night and when you leave. it has the option of being movable.
