Not a major deal but I noticed some fisheye on your recording camera a few minutes through. You should probably turn that off but it’s not that bad. I only noticed it when the monitor was lined up straight with the camera and it was warped. Nice review though!!!
I have this monitor with a Xbox series x and I use the hdmi that comes with the Xbox but it doesn’t even let me have the 120 hz only says 60 and then on top of that it won’t even let me have 4k options on resolution maybe is it because I’ve moved a couple times it somehow broke something important inside or does it just now work for me?

I have the same monitor, but i get 75 hz, can anyone tell me what should i do to get 144 hz, I already changed to max (75 hz) in display settings.

Depends how far away you sit. We have 24 inch on desk and it sits about 18 inches away - so is perfect size.

I think it's fine at 27inch. I have another monitor at 28 inch and 1080p looks great on that size.

Yes. You can use PS5 with it to get benefit of 120fps. Just make sure you use HDMI 2.1 cable (should be same cable that comes with PS5).

It goes up to 1.8 ms response if u are playing a really heavy game. Not much a difference

Yes. Works with PS4/Xbox One etc really well - the advantage of 144hz is that where games run at 120fps (as per PS5 and Xbox Series S/X - you get the real benefit.)

There's not a lot of difference tbh. This can go up to 165hz - but having just got an LG TV, I might lean towards the LG monitor. But you can't go wrong with either of them

this one has high refresh rate hdmi, you just need the right cable.
Acer adds additional letters to their model numbers. VG0 is the series then 240Y I believe just denotes size. Then this monitor should be followed by pbiip which somehow tells us more detailed specs. I believe this part of the model number also has to do with ongoing smaller changes to individual models. The 24 inch 144 hz version should be Acer VG0Y Pbiip.

The console is still going to play at 60fps. No need to change the Hz on the monitor.

It comes with a DisplayPort cable which seems like a red flag because yours came with hdmi
hello! The Acer monitor I just bought has no audio in the mode setting.
you may have one that doesn't have speakers.
This screen was advertised as 165hz screen and sold with a pricetag for a budget 165hz screen. It even said in the ad that this 165hz screen is made for "overclocking" even though they didnt recommended it.. So disapointing. Bought this screen 1.5 years ago, and yes i still get 165hz. Still though, its very disapointing. Alot of resellers made this misstake so i can understand them. I paid like 70 dollars to mutch so its not a big deal. I could probably return it, But wont, not 1.5 years later. Still though, the feels. lol. wish i never found out its actually a 144hz screen.. Ironicly i bought a fabric already overclocked pc with this monitor.. Only thing i could overclock was my graphic card like 5-10% lmao.. and the mother board is so old i cant really upgrade the pc either! haha, last one is absolutly my bad. I actually starting to hate this pc now, and one F###in DP port and two USB ports dosnt even work and i didnt CARE!!. The monitor nailed the hammer on the head. Alot text, lol. Sorry bout that, im actually got mad about it as i was writing this post.. eeh fuck it, its funny. i post my crap anyways.. Now everyone. Comfort me! lol.. Have a mad one! pz

Yes. You won't get 4K - but you do get to feel the benefit of 120fps with its 144hz screen

Will this play 144hz with HDMI I have an Acer nitro 5 right now I have a viotek monitor but HDMI will not run it at 144hz it says not supported which means I would have to use display port to reach it my nitro 5 does not support dp at all not even the USB c works for it only transfer data it works for so I'm hoping this monitor will doesn't makes sence to play 120hz on a 144hz monitor
Yes, you just need to make sure you have a HDMI 2.1 cable.

@@stevenbrooksakalw1632 For 144Hz at 1440p, you will need at least HDMI 2.0 or DisplayPort 1.2 while for 4K 144Hz you are going to need HDMI 2.1
For 1080p 144 hz then HDMI 1.4 should do it. But I tend to just haveto have HDMI 2.0 or above

You'll need some sort of device if not a PC, to plug into it. It's not a smart device. It's just a monitor. But a Google chromecast or Amazon firestick would work.

Yes. You get 120hz with PS5 (but 1080p not 4K)
It's not like 144hz and 165hz is noticable. If you jump to 144hz to 240hz is much more noticable.
Does this support gsync laptop?
It'll run with a gsync latop no probs - but the monitor doesn't have Nvidia G-Sync - but does have AMD Free Sync. (I think there more current expensive models do have G-Sync now)

R they exactly same with a model call xv240yp in Malaysia, I saw nothing difference but the stand, and I cannot find any professional channel reviewing the xv240yp
The specs look the same as the xv240yp - only the stand is different. May just have different stands in different markets (or one was an earlier version)

@@oliviapearson7386 It's just a monitor, so no doesn't come with Microsoft. So if you want to use a PC with the monitor you'd have to buy MS for that PC if it is not already bundled with it. (As a monitor it will connect to most devices so your PC doesn't have to be running MS - for instance, you could connect a Chromebook to it (or Playstation or Xbox etc)
