I don’t think this video explained how to specifically make adjustments to expand the case.

It did at 2:37 when he said turning in the bottom hex bolt 1/8th of a turn.

Is the Idea you set the thrower up without the PTX expander to get throw height. Then remove the original insert and use the PTX? Or should we start from scratch when using a PTX, adjusting the lower die body by threading it up or down in the LNL bushing to accomplish a full throw?
Once a full throw is established, should we no longer adjust the die body in relation to the LNL bushing for that caliber?
Can you all elaborate on what the PTX POWDER MEASURE STOP (bracket with screws on either end) adjustments do? as in does screwing in the top screw vs the bottom screw change anything?
If not, is there any reason to use the top screw, or at least not just lock it at a shallow depth?
I realize you all stated at 2:37 that, once the full throw is established via the POWDER MEASURE STOP, I.E. full stroke then tighten down the bracket screws till they touch the pins, you said to tighten the lower screw by 1/16 increment rotations until the desired expansion is met. Is there any concern with over-tightening here that would create expansion different than that of a traditional expansion die?
In addition to the lower screw on the powder stop, should we be adjusting either the upper bracket screw or the overall position of the die body in relation to the LNL bushing at any point in time? If so, is there an order to that level of adjustment?

Good video, but I wish Hornady would create a stepped PTX more like a Lyman M-die like RCBS does. I use the RCBS PTX in my Hornady drop because of this. The Hornady is not good for doing coated bullets or using a bullet feeder.

absolutely nothing mentioned about how deep to set powder measure assembly in press before you get to this point

yes! I wish they would do an in-depth video that's very verbose explaining every possible adjustment.

I did not see him adjust anything.

What's the largest rifle caliber this press can reload?

Does the ap press come with the different powder expanders?

It doesn't come with any powder through expanders. They do come with bullet feed dies or can be purchased separately.

I sincerely regret getting the progressive LNL. Switching calibers is such a pain in the rear with having to change primer feed trays, primer pusher, primer tubes, hub plates, and powder measure inserts.

This looks so much easier than buying the ammo. 🙄
I have enough time for a single throw. 🖖

Horrible instruction. No information on how the PTX stop; How it works; what it does; when do you adjust the throw of the powder measure cam? I have been using my Hornady Auto progressive for 12 years and I shoot 200 rounds a week. He gets the flair to .380 thousandths, but no information on how he got there or how this device controls the amount of movement on the case activated powder measure. Seems like Hornady videos are designed for people who work for Hornady; not end users.

Just as lousy as the old version of this video. Tells you nothing and doesn't follow the Hornady instructions at all.
