I was born in the former British Guiana which is now Guyana in South America, our Indian ancestors came from all over India when it was under British rule as Indentured labourers to work in the sugar cane industry and most of them stayed. They brought a lot of the Indian cultures and till today generations after generations are still carrying it on. Many of your foods are similar to ours, spices.
