Hey John! Love your videos. As a Nike employee, and skater just wanted to tell you that you're actually skating the non SB Nike Blazer Mid! There is Nike SB Zoom Blazer Mids that were redesigned versions of the Nike Blazer meant for skateboarding. These may be better for you :) when looking for Nike skate shoes look out for the Nike SBs!

Are the SB version wider than the non-SB version? I'm guessing they're not, because I've skated several pairs of Nike SB and they were all too narrow. I think John has the same problem.
@@amjroid5291 I have fairly wide feet, and I found that the Nike alleyoops are very very comfy, but for other Nike shoes they hurt my feet a lot

the Sb blazer are actually rounder in the toe... these are the "classic" high top old school ones so they built a lil narrower.... especially in the toe
what are the ones in this video called again? i’m looking for the shoe and the color way, they look so nice but i can’t find them anywhere.
@@tuckervanleer8459 the shape of the swoosh makes me think that they’re the Blazer Mid ‘77 , there aren’t too many colorways out of them, so it shouldn’t be too hard to find the exact color from there

One of the most slept on shoes are the Nike SB Chron. I agree that Nike's are a lot harder to break in, but the canvas Chron's are perfect to skate straight out the box. They're kinda random and hard to find in Canada but Zumiez has them.

For all your flat shoes (skate shoes, Nike blazers and court royals) place orthotics in them with a decent medial (inside) arch. They will add much comfort and help protect your feet and ankles. Source: I am a foot and ankle surgical resident. The color scheme in your blazers are sick!
I feel like the blazer lows are very similar to the cariumas. I haven’t skated the cariumas but just from the look
yup for sure, hate to break in shoes. but i just ride them shoes if it looks good even tho they are really not comfortable or even like suppressing my skills ahaha. so i really love this es symbol that i just bought like 2 weeks ago, and yet still so stiff. i wear them for walking and skating them around those 2 weeks. it's getting better but still really far with other skating shoes as my last dunk.

Hey John I’m from florence, South Carolina and it’s really hard to skate in this state and I support you 100%. growing up here in a less that wealthy family in a even lesser than wealthy community and trying to skate too is sooo difficult. I feel for you and what it might have been like for you growing up, love your vids man keep up the good work (ps. Any skate spot recommendations?)

It always comes down to individual preference, how your feet are built and what they need. I can put on brand new Blazer Mids and skate on my usual skill level immediately without hurting. It's literally the fastest breaking in shoe for me. Also you should try out the Adidas Tyshawn for a video, those are great too imo, but the high outer sole throws you off for the first half and hour. Still, they work great for me. As said, everybody's needs are different tho.

You should try the Nike Shane O’Neal’s. Easily my favorite skate shoe that’s last an extremely long time

I found that leather blazer mids and lows are ready to skate first session and don’t really need to be broken into. The suede ones take some time to break in though and felt more stiff.

I have been in the Tyshawn's all year. Tried the NB 1010s and 5 session later passed them along to someone that will enjoy them more. Back to the Tyshawn's.

Nike Sb clutch mids in black are AWESOME.
You should lace them "bar style" to reduce tention threw out the shoe but mainly on the top of your foot. Ive always hated breaking in vans skateshoes but i laced them bar style and my shoes ive had for a while feel even better. Just search it on youtube, maybe itll help someone 🙏🏽🔥

First, I will say I recently bought a pair of Nike blazer mid 77’s Recently and I will say that if you have is wider than average foot, You need to go up a half a size;also you should try some Nike SB dunks Lows

Got my first pair the other day the black/gum white tick, wore them today for the first time i found them comfortable not as some in the forefoot I'm used to breaking in hardcourt tennis shoes. Those are stiff. These i found no break in at Al i have thin feet though. Kinda a shame i don't skate.

I always loved SBs, lows and highs. My OG skate shoes and religiously skated in them with no exceptions other than a single pair of DC Rob Dyrdek pro shoes. It still blows me away that they were 500$ marked down to 60$. Blazers are gunna be my next pair of skate shoes, always loved the high top SBs and those ray gun blazers are fye
I've tried skating a pair of mid blazers that were not SB and am currently skating mid blazers that ARE SB and the difference is night and day. They have a vulc sole, zoom cushioning which helps a ton with impact and generally they are a much better shoe for skating! Would not recommend trying standard blazers - look after your feet!

i have wide feet and very few SBs fit me well; the same for New Balance. Never a problem with Vans or Etnies

Got 12 pairs of sb blazer mids. I love that shoe just not the 77 cut not a fan those shown are better being all suade. I want every sb blazer mids. Truly a great shoe.
My all time favorite shoe is the sb dunk high pro. The gorge green with khaki midsole slept on, as the youth would say below retail at 80uk.
The blazer incorporating price is my favorite silhouette. I regularly pick up sb mids for 50-70uk. A bargain for such a great shoe excluding price the sb dunk high pro decon, mouthful. I think my green ones should have been 150/60 I paid 80. Zero taste some people.
I'm old I refuse to buy resale it's principle. Us older sorts are big on that.

Oh man if u try out nike one more time grab the Blazer SB high or low. The high has padding arounf the ankle.and made of more durable suede. Both lows and high feature the a little zoom pocket under the heel as well. Great vid as alwaye

I’ve been a Vans guys forever till I recently decided to give in and try Nike Chron SB’s, unlike Vans they felt pre-broken in and comforting right out of the box. They haven’t left my feet since we’ll besides when I’m sleeping lol. No longer wearing Vans ever again!

if you fell pressure on the sides of your feet i recommend getting .5 bigger size cause i had the same problem with blazer mids till i did so and they are one of my favorite skate shoes now
