The destiny mark always makes me feel like that the Pokemon that has the mark is your partner Pokemon, because it’s title is “The chosen one” and that always reminds me of Ash being you and Pikachu being the chosen one. Glad I got to get a Sneasel with that mark since it’s one of my favourite pokemon and it really does feel like my partner
So cool fact about birthday's in pokemon games: My birthday is on a leap day (29th of February), and so whenever I set it on any game, usually I'm met with the disappointing fact that I won't get any birthday bonuses for 3 out of 4 years. However, in Pokémon games, if you set your birthday to 2/29, you get unique dialogue from the NPC saying "come back on your birthday for a reward, or on the 28th whenever your day isn't present on a year!". And whenever it is the 28th of February on those years, the NPCs acknowledge the different date saying "We know it isn't really your birthday, but we still wanted to celebrate with you!. It's attention to small details like that that make me love certain videogames just a bit more (ACNH also handle leap day birthdays the same way FYI) More interestingly for me though, this meant that I am one of the few people who could get a Destiny Mark pokémon/shiny that *doesn't* really share my birthday, since they were caught on the 28th of February, not the 29th. And I think that's awesome :D

happy belated birthday! i also did a shiny destiny mark hunt on my birthday (8/23) and ended up with four shinies without a mark (veluza, noivern, roaring moon, and gible) and then with only a couple minutes left before the day rolled over i found a shiny skuntank while trying to just get a regular pink tatsugiri with the mark... and that skuntank had the mark. not what i was aiming to get, but i'm happy i got a destiny mark shiny nonetheless ^^

Fun! I did this for my birthday last month too. I wanted a shiny dragon because dragons are cool and stuff. Found a shiny Goomy, Gabite, and Zweilous before getting my destiny-marked Zweilous! Was hunting for Roaring Moon, but I got a shiny marked dragon, so mission accomplished!

I Shiny hunted on my birthday too! I was so hyped when I got a destiny mark Shiny Sandygast. I'd wanted to hunt a Sandygast for years but never gotten around to it, so I was very happy my lil black sand pile was destined for me. Maybe I'll hunt again when my birthday rolls around again.
Lucky! Meanwhile, I did the same hunt for my favourite shiny a few times throughout my birthday this year and found 7 shiny Oricorio's before getting one with the destiny mark. Got it, at least! 😄 About half an hour left of the day, got a Kommo-o with the destiny mark too, but the shiny didn't have it. Ah well!
