Right?! The only thing I can think of buying somewhat expensive and thats haircare. I'm trying to get on the cruelty free train and it freatly reduces how many brands or products I need to choose from. There are some products that aren't cruelty free that work very great too so I'm stuck between that lol.
Same!! Unfortunately for me I have KP so Eurcein is partly the only lotion that has what I need to keep it from flaring up 🥹 it’s gotten much expensive. But I’m thinking maybe I can add the TPH Lactic acid serum into an affordable lotion (not into it but mix it on my palm) and maybe I can get some good results
As someone who is on a budget and doesn't have hundreds of dollars to spend on skin care, I appreciate these videos so much. Thanks for looking out for people like me. Happy Wednesday, Dr Dray! I hope you have a lovely evening. 💜
I have been using that exact Dove body wash with the colloidal oatmeal for a couple weeks now, and I actually REALLY LOVE IT! I found it to lather on my skin after I rubbed it in, but it definitely is very creamy! I used to HATE the old dove body washes and felt slimy and coated out of the shower. This new formula does NOT make me feel that way- my skin actually feels clean, but soothed and even softer and calmer?! I have been experiencing SO much peeling and flaking and bleeding on my back and shoulders from dry skin, and this has felt so soothing on the shower and I’ve seen serious improvement in my dryness 🙏🏻 I really like it (though don’t like the scent) It works for soothing the skin 😊💗
Dove’s eczema body cleanser is one of my favorites! I’ve never liked body lotion because of the sensory experience so this body wash has really helped keep my skin moisturized. My skin barrier on my face was wrecked a couple months ago after trying a new product and even the CeraVe Hydrating cleanser felt too harsh so I ended up using the Dove body cleanser instead for about a week. I left it on my face for a few minutes to give it some contact time with the colloidal oatmeal, it was so soothing and I was happy to find it didn’t cause any breakouts (for me anyway)
Grapeseed oil, jojoba oil and sweet almond oil are all great for shaving and fragrance free. You can mix all three (equal parts) and put in a pump dispenser. Just don’t store in the shower and only make small batches for freshness.
I'm intrigued by the dove's special consistency 😊❤. Wonderful products doctor Andrea nonetheless thank you for sharing them with us 😊 take care and have a wonderful day.
yes, I personally use the EOS 'bikini' shave oil on my lower legs where I have veinous insufficiency that results in cellulitis flares, which i must tread lightly if at all.
Loved this! I’ll get the dove wash and shave oil but already have the EOS cream in vanilla and it’s a first fragrance that doesn’t give a headache but smells goooooood and not sickening ❤ your reviews a lot
I love all these products! We don't need to plunk down big bucks for soaps and lotions just because the high-end stuff has a prettier package. The one thing I always look for is a tube or bottle without a pump, just because the pump dispensers waste so much product at the end of the bottle. By saving money on these kinds of products, I can justify spending more on things like botox and laser treatments! LOL! Thanks Dr. Dray for your down to earth attitude!
I was really surprised to hear that you do not like dove body washes. I have never tried any dove product from the us but the ones we get in europe are just wonderful. My skin loves them. So much so that whenever I switch to another brand my skin gets dry and I don't have dry skin so I always end up going back to dove
My eyes literally kill me with chemical sunscreens but thanks to you I have found a wonderful sunscreen I now use daily. Taimei Korean sun cream is amazing! It doesn’t hurt my eyes at all. I have always hated mineral ones as they are so pasty and white. I’m fair skinned and I look even more ghostly. I don’t t wear much makeup so covering it up is just too much hassle for me. So thank you for all the recommendations you do! ❤
That Lubriderm reminds me of my mother. The lighting in the video is excellent on the eyes! Dr. Dray you should name that dog Casty being he is of ultimate white cast!
Hi Uncle Charlie! Happy Wednesday!! I hope you had a beautiful day. I'm the high 80's again today. The only thing I like about warm weather is planting my garden and flowers. Lol Peace, joy and many blessings to you, my friend. 🕊🙏☕🌱🌻
Since you like the vanilla cashmere scent from eos, you should try the ultra derm handcream! It smells just as good, and it claims to last through hand washing. I'd love to hear your thoughts!
People have really different level of eye sensitivity re SPFs. For example I really struggled to find non eye stinging Korean SPF. I tried several of the ones that were suggested for sensitive yes, like Cosrx Aloe SPF that was very popular - and that stung my eyes like crazy. But then, finally, I found one that did not sting - Skin1004 hyaly cica sun serum. If you have same issue with SPF stinging your eyes, try this one!
Forgot to mention, your skin is so dewy, especially your cheekbones and near your undereyes. You just glow! What do you use for this beautiful finish? Thank you! 😊
Could you do an updated Korean, Japanese, sunscreen review. I have been using Beauty of Joseon50 PA++++ Relief Sun: Rice Bran + Probiotics & recently Missha Essence Sun SPF45 PA+++! Thank you!
I love the EOS shave cream- the sensitive one in the squeeze tube NOT the scented ones either pumps. It’s honestly my holy grail. I wonder how it compares with the shave oils?
Im curious if you tried the dove product as a first or second facial cleanser. The texture seems to be ideal for that. Watching after a long hiatus ❤ missed you dr dray!
If anyone is looking for fragrance free for shaving, I tried Cetaphil cleanser to use while shaving, and I thought it worked well with my Intuition razor.

To solve the sunscreen burning my eyes, I use a stick around my eye. And then a lotion around the rest of my face. The stick doesn't migrate and I've used mineral and chemical with no problem. Just my 2 cents.
I was going to ask if you knew of a shave oil that was fragrance free and you answered already!! Let's hope the powers that be are already working on it.
I bought the Elf Whoa Glow after seeing your review of it. I really like it, but, unlike you, it does sting my eyes 🤷🏻♀️ So, in the meantime, I still have a little bit left of the Skin Aqua moisture gel (on the verge of expiration) so use that all around my eyes and on my forehead. I can no longer find that at what I consider a reasonable price so I’m looking for an alternative just for those areas. I’ve been using my husband’s, body wash, Dove for men. It has a light fragrance which I don’t find to be too masculine, just very clean smelling. One less thing to store in the shower! Happy Wednesday, everyone!
That sunscreen stings my eyes as well, too bad. Like you, I use a different sunscreen around my eyes (Neutrogena UV tint), but it sucks because I won't bother to bring 2 different sunscreens for reapplication later. So I only do that combo in the morning before leaving the house.
To add to your review Lacura oatmeal body wash and oatmeal body lotion. Both are Alddi brands. They cost about $4 each for 18 fluid oz each. I have to use oatmeal skin products especially in the growing season because I always get some poison ivy. Nothing helps me more than oatmeal with poison ivy.
Hello Dr! Your skin looks young and tight! Your neck also is smooth and tight ,too! In general, you look fabulous! Which products do you use and your skin is so tight ? Please, could you share with us what you do , your skincare routine and your everyday habits? Thank you in advance for the education you offer to all of us! Have a nice May!!❤
She’s a vegan, she runs something like an hour a day, she’s been religious about sunscreen for years and she’s been using tretinoin for years. Those are probably the big ones. The rest she changes - like cleansers and serums that she tests for this channel.
Your channel has quickly become my Number One Favorite & I watch All of your episodes! Your advice is second to none & I really Appreciate & Thank YOU!! 💜 I do have a question if you can address this topic sometime? I found some face wipes at Dollar Tree last week that are labeled as having Retinol in them. I don't understand what the purpose would be to use retinol in a product like that so if you could enlighten me, (& all of us interested in retinol products), on that I would greatly appreciate it.
You'd probably wipe them on your face instead of using a cream and let it dry. I've also seen retinol pads from brands like RoC and Dr. Dennis Gross. Peace Out has retinol eye patches.
@@db-gb5xiThanks for your thoughts on my question. It would make sense if you use it that way rather than to just take off the days makeup. I use other topical retinol products from Roc & have also tried No. 7. Personally I think I see more difference with the Roc products but I like them both enough to use either. Maybe I'll give these wipes a try soon & see how they seem to work.
I purchased the Coppertone Sport Face SPF 60+ sunscreen before it was listed on the Coppertone website. Upon discovering that it's labeled as a tone lotion on the website, I was surprised, as this wasn't apparent at the time of purchase. Unfortunately, I've found that it leaves a very noticeable white cast, which I would have taken into consideration before buying it. Despite this, it generally doesn't irritate my eyes unless I apply it too close to my tear ducts or if sweat gets into my eyes. However, I've noticed that after wearing it for a while, I do experience some eye irritation. On a positive note, it has effectively protected my face from the harsh sun rays.
I'm over the moon about my core skincare routine! Between my SPF, good bug spray, gold Bond, prequel, & the ordinary, I'm a happy gal! I'm trying to pack in the moisture during our brief rainy season. Summer is hot and dry and windy, plus dirt particulate (I live in MT's biggest city but we're still very close to nature ..literally) & ash coming soon, so I'm eager to get my skin to its absolute healthiest, and if I can do a little firming and even-ing, that's a bonus lol! Now to find a frugal alpha arbutin & C serum lol....
I recently tried the Vaseline Extremely Dry Skin Rescue body lotion, the Vaseline Age Defy body lotion, and the Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Moisturizing Face Serum SPF 50. I like the two body lotions. The first is unscented, but the Age Defy says “Hypoallergenic Fragrance” on the label. It’s a pleasant scent. The sunscreen serum is a nice texture but wow, my eyes do not like it. Will probably stick to my Unseen Sunscreen because I never have issues with it. Would love to try the Trader Joe’s dupe, but I live in Canada 🇨🇦 so unless someone in the States wants to trade some Ketchup Chips and Aero Chicokate bars for it, I will have to stick with my Supergoop
Could you do a video about preventative hair care? Like my hair is probably doing fine, but I want to know what I can do to make sure it stays that way ... I know there are a lot of like scalp care products out there and various types of conditioner, oils serums, etc but I find all that way more confusing than skincare 😅
Greetings Dr Dray hope u r well n 🖐Hello Every1 n Happy Wednesday😀n what a Wonderful Vid…. thanks n This is Gonna b so Good🔥👍n Continued Blessings to All💜….
I shave my head and use Cerave Daily Moisturizer on my head, face and arms. I hate that I have slippery fingertips and have to scrub it off to grip things. Is Lubriderm for men unscented just as good and maybe less greasy? Any thoughts on how to apply lotion other than using my hands?
Dr. Dray, could you please give me your opinion on Apple Cider Vinegar. Is it safe and/or effective to use on the face? Lately I've been using it in-between my cleanser and moisturizer and my complexion has noticeably improved. Please share your thoughts?
Dr Dray has Avene videos including a top 10. If you do a search, dr dray avene sensitive, you'll find the videos. The Budget Dermatologist also has an Avene video going over all the lines.
Aveeno makes a new calm and restore line, light body moisturizer I would love you try. I did not love it atleast not under my eyes. I thought I could try it like the cicaplast one you were talking about. Made my creases under my eyes more noticeable
Hi Dr. Dray! I just watched your video on hangnails and have a question regarding nail ridges from filing damage; Could these ridges be removed/treated by lasers that podiatrists use for treating nail fungus? Many thanks!😊
I'm a man and my skin is peeling in one of my thumb and one of my index finger. Is there a cream that I can use so my skin can regrow? I also use lotion and cream to keep my hands moist.
Every single American mineral sunscreen I’ve tried stung my eyes as well (I’ve tried all the brands low end and high end). Most non-American sunscreens (chemical and mineral) also sting my eyes, I’ve only found very few that don’t. It’s not a mineral vs chemical issue
I have to admit, I'm a sucker for affordable skincare products. I refuse to buy the expensive stuff.
Same here! 💕
Me too, never had better results from pricey skincare

I know you prefer to avoid fragrance, but the scented EOS lotions are DIVINE. Especially the Vanilla Cashmere.
I hate the vanilla scent because it smells too sweet and gives me a headache. Tree Hut is way better in my opinion.
Agree!
Yes! That is my favorite.
Love it ! I don't ever use unscented body washes.or lotions..love fragrances

Shower acrobatics, choreography, calisthenics; I love it! Never thought about it that way, but Dr. Dray is right!😂
