Beautiful day for offshore so headed out to the Blue. Trolling, vertical jigging and a whole lot of rod bending. The wrecks kept me busy until the sun was setting and the Tunas came up to play. The bait of choice is the 4" paddle tail which you can pick up at my store www.allaboutthebait.com.

Steve, have you ever considered attaching a squared piece of nylon netting between your pontoon and the side of your kayak, so you could just lift a fish over your pontoon or the front support to make landing easier? Just four hooks, to two pieces of small diameter bungee cord, laced thru the netting or a fold. I had one that used half inch pvc pipe, on the side of the boat once years ago, that pulled up. I've see catamaran's netting used to pull fish onto also.

FYI - I was visiting Mississippi recently and caught some huge trophy size Crappie/Speckled Perch each day. I am getting 3 mounted (3.7lb, 3.4lb, and 3.1 lb). The CrappieMasters tournament just happened to be in town that weekend and was amazed when they saw how much I could get around and do just as much as the BIG BOATS do...the CrappieMasters Host (Brian Sowers) invited me to speak on LIVE radio show this Sunday March 31, 2019 at 7pm Central time. Yes the 90 reef meaning the reef in 90 feet of water. Where I am it’s the six mile reef in 80 feet of water

Rent a boat, buy chum. Chum for Ballyhoo, use them for bait and you'll come home with more snapper than you can shake a stick at.
I may do that. That way my wife can lay out while I fish. I really would like to catch a Mahi Mahi though.
