Yeah man tell me about it. You see rubbish like this and suddenly you think to yourself ‘it’s some reinforcement, some spacing chairs, a few specific tools (trowels, vibrators, formwork, etc.), and some concrete. Get a couple mates around for a BBQ and beers and hit it ourselves!’
Not only do the whole slab and footings have to come up, but the services pipes will be damaged and need to be reinstalled before the new slab and footing go down.
Throughout the video I was looking for any signage to see who the builder was, but couldn't see one. Isn't it compulsory for that signage to be erected?
As a former public infrastructure QC and QA Manager how can these people call themselves tradespeople. How can anyone on that job call themselves a leading hand let alone a supervisor. A chook shed in a paddock has a better floor than that slab.
@@WABuildingInspections and minimum 1080p recording would be very beneficial - 360p is ancient and unacceptable. keep up the good work though. Builders are taking the pi$$....
Thats absolutely disgraceful. Surely any sort of tradesman with half a brain would not think that any prospective home buyer would actually pay for that.
@@WABuildingInspections oho sunshine. See my last videos (with plane and van), they made with it. Can be equipped with prescribed lenses, at least I found one shop in Sydney who made it.
This is beyond a joke, I am a builder in Queensland and have been in the trade for 38 yrs and I have never ever seen anything like that. There are some WA builders over here but they won’t change their licence over because you almost have to do 2 years at Uni to get your licence over here, no matter how long you have been a carpenter. This is what I would expect to find in Victoria ( sorry little China ), but WA makes them look like hero’s
You got zero chance this occurs in Victoria without a DTF and/or a Building Notice being issued. You can't just waltz in from WA and be a builder in Vic either, we don't have mutual recognition for builders.
What an abomination.
I'm pretty impressed with my driveway I did by myself now

When builders "have to" get something done they will literally give a job to anyone just to say its been done.
This is often the result !!
Love your work mate! 👍🏻🇦🇺👍🏻
🤔Legislation needs to make this work criminal! Aussie sub-contractor’s are lazy. Imprisonment would stop this.
That slab’s so fucked, I’m half expecting it to start charging rent as a skate park.
I agree! That is the worst slab I've ever seen period. I tghink I could have done a better job not knowing what I was doing
Who's the builder on this one??
BGC
They were VERY stingy - not enough workers and equipment to finish it in one day and ordered not enough concrete. Twice.
Million dollar houses mate, Australian quality.
I am really enjoying your videos but find the microphone volume too low
@@startledemu I know. - I’m sorry mate - I’m working on it - I’m so bad with tech, this is all new to me - haha - thanks for the feedback

That’s an absolutely appalling job!
I worked for a company for 5 years the name Sam rings a bell ... wouldn't be a place that starts with a B and ends with C by chance buddy?
Gee I wonder who it could be
no footing could be frame and facade rather than brick?
that is absolutely shocking though
Yeah, but this was cavity brick - so sad

They aren't tradesmen that's the truth. But you're correct about having half a brain
WTF
Looks like a DEI job.
I always flinch when I see you inspectors with a camera in one hand walking near star pickets without caps 😳
@@jacksirren2372 hahaha - fair….
Yeah I worry about these guys when they are inspecting at heights as well.
Use somethuing like camera glasses, it costs $200 and specially designed for such "walk, look and film" use.
@@antontsau I’ll give that a try - thanks so much. I’ll do some googling today. Legend appreciate it

Can you please get a better potato to film with please. its 2024.
What does that even mean?
@@WABuildingInspections It means it looks like you filmed this with a potato. You should try using as camera or uploading in more than 360p

who was in charge , that is a absolute disgrace!
Clearly no-one.
